Gonzalo Higuain happy at Napoli

Gonzalo Higuain has said he is happy to stay at Napoli, with Barcelona having switched their attentions to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Argentina forward Higuain was heavily linked with Barca earlier in the summer, with Marca claiming personal terms had been agreed, and Lionel Messi saying he would be "delighted" if his international teammate joined him at the Camp Nou.

But Barcelona now appear close to wrapping up the signing of Uruguay international Suarez, despite his four-month ban from football for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

Former Real Madrid forward Higuain told TYC Sports, in quotes reported by Ole, that he had been flattered by the interest from Barca but had no problem about staying with Napoli.

"I have a contract, and the truth is I appreciated the words from Leo," Higuain told reporters as he prepared for the World Cup semifinal against Netherlands.

"It made me happy that they thought about me. But I have a contract with Napoli, who have treated me very well since I arrived there."
