Toni Kroos' Real Madrid move denied

Toni Kroos' agent Volker Struth has said that no deal for his client has been finalised, amid reports in Spain that the Germany midfielder is set to sign with Real Madrid.

On Thursday, the Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Kroos will join Los Blancos on a five-year deal.

The 24-year old Bayern Munich midfielder has entered the final year of his contract at the Bundesliga champions, and, in January, turned down an offer to extend his contract because he was unhappy with the terms.

According to Marca, Kroos will now sign a contract with Real, which will guarantee him a net salary of five million euros per year, and earn Bayern 25 million euros.

The deal, however, will not be announced until the end of Germany's World Cup campaign. This will either be the case after Friday, should France beat die Nationalmannschaft in the quarterfinal, or after the final weekend of the tournament in mid-July.

Struth neither confirmed nor denied the report in a brief comment for newswire dpa.

"Nothing has been resolved on our end. I will stand by my statement that this will not happen before the end of the World Cup," he said.

Bayern declined to comment on the report when asked by Germany newswire SID.
