Much sought after Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas will only leave Levante should one of his suitors pay the 10 million euro release clause in his contract.

Navas, 27, has been one of the stand-out performers at the current World Cup, starring as unfancied Costa Ricans have progressed through to the quarterfinals, and underlined his value by saving a penalty in the round of 16 penalty shootout against Greece.
Widespread reports in Spain have said that Atletico Madrid are interested in signing the 27 year old -- who was excellent for Levante all through last season and has just one year left on his current contract -- should Thibaut Courtois return to Chelsea for the 2014-15 campaign.
Porto are also thought to have already made a bid, while Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen have also been mentioned as potential destinations for a player who joined Levante from Albacete just two years ago, and reportedly currently earns only 250,000 euros a season.
Speaking about the speculation on El Larguero, Levante president Quico Catalan said that his side's most prized asset would not leave unless a buying club stumped up the buyout clause in full.
"Keylor is having a great World Cup, and it is true that not just Spanish clubs but also foreign clubs are showing an interest," Catalan said. "The player and his agent are also in conversations with clubs. Keylor has a buyout clause of 10 million euros, although he is worth much more than that.
"The clubs who want him know they have to pay the value of the clause. We have to wait as the player has a lot on at the moment. He has improved a lot over the last season, and is now in the shop window of the World Cup."
Asked about the interest from Atletico, who have reportedly offered a lower cash sum plus young attacker Leo Baptistao on loan, Catalan said he was not interested in negotiating on the price.
"Atletico have known my position from the first moment, for weeks now," he said. "We know that in the days to come other interested parties could come in. Six million euros plus [Leo] Baptistao would be still be just six million euros [in cash]. Wherever Keylor Navas goes it will be to a club which pays his full clause."
Asked about rumours that Real Madrid could move for Navas as both its current goalkeepers Iker Casillas and Diego Lopez could be leaving the Bernabeu this summer, Catalan said he was open to receiving offers from any interested party.
"No there has been nothing from Real Madrid," Catalan said. "Any club who is interested, in Spain or abroad, knows that they can contact the Levante president. But that has not happened."
