#INSERT type:image caption:Gyau made two Bundesliga appearances for TSG Hoffenheim. END# Borussia Dortmund have signed U.S. international attacking midfielder Joseph Gyau from TSG Hoffenheim. Ruhr Nachrichten reported that the 21-year-old has signed a deal until 2016, and it is thought he will begin his time with the Bundesliga runners-up in the reserves. Gyau, who was called up to the the U.S. squad for a 2012 friendly against Russia, will reinforce Dortmund's second string, which currently plays in Germany's third tier. Alongside fellow midfielder Junior Flores, he will be one of two U.S. players to feature for the club. He joined Hoffenheim's youth system from the IMG Soccer Academy in 2009, making two Bundesliga appearances. He also played 15 second-tier league games during a loan spell at St. Pauli. Tampa-born Gyau is the son of the former U.S. international Philip Gyau, who won six caps between 1989 and 1991, and the grandson of Joseph Agyemang-Gyau, who featured for Ghana in the 1960s.
