The opening day fixture list gives Louis van Gaal a home debut as Manchester United manager, taking on Swansea at Old Trafford, while third-placed Chelsea travel to newly-promoted Burnley.

FA Cup winners Arsenal begin their campaign at home to London rivals Crystal Palace before facing a tough first away game against Everton at Goodison Park.

Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert is reunited with his former club Southampton at Anfield on day one, and West Ham and Spurs begin their campaigns with a London derby at Upton Park.

Leicester City start their return to life in the top division with a home game against Everton, and playoff winners QPR do so at home to FA Cup runners-up Hull.

Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool's tough start to the season continues with a visit to Spurs on the third weekend, when Everton and Chelsea meet at Goodison and Burnley take on United at Turf Moor.

The weekend of Sep. 27 brings a double derby showdown -- Arsenal and Spurs face each other in a North London clash at the Emirates, while Liverpool and Everton face off in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

The first Manchester derby of the season takes place on Nov. 1, when Van Gaal takes the Red Devils to the Etihad.

The final day of the campaign sees City host Southampton, while United go to Hull, Liverpool visit Stoke, Arsenal host West Brom and Chelsea are at home to Sunderland -- the club that ended Jose Mourinho's long unbeaten Stamford Bridge run as Blues manager.

Meanwhile, the three teams relegated from the Premier League last season all begin their campaigns to bounce back to the top flight away from home.

Norwich travel to League One winners Wolves, Fulham visit Ipswich and Cardiff are at Blackburn Rovers, with the Championship season kicking off on Aug. 9.
