Sven-Goran Eriksson believes Frank Lampard would be a "great" signing for Guangzhou R&F as he urged his Chinese club to offer the Chelsea midfielder a contract.

Lampard, 35, announced he would be leaving Stamford Bridge after his current contract runs out this summer, and Eriksson -- who managed the player for England between 2001 and 2006 -- wants his team to target the "incredible" Three Lions international.
"I have suggested to the club they take Frank Lampard," The Daily Mail reports Eriksson as saying. "He would be great in China, he is a football man, very proud and clever so if he thinks he can go on for another year or two, he will not go just for a holiday.
"How many midfielders in the world have scored more goals than Lampard. He is still running, still scoring. He is incredible and I am sure he'd be great around the camp."
Eriksson's side are currently third in the Chinese League and are on course to qualify for the Asian Champions League, although the former England boss believes that Lampard's wage demands may make a deal more difficult.
"I have spoken to agents about it but the money is through the roof so I am not sure it can happen," he stated.
The midfielder is South West London side's all-time top scorer with 211 goals and has played 648 games at Stamford Bridge, winning the Premier League three times, alongside four FA Cups, two League Cups, a Champions League title and one Europa League.
Lampard has been told by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich that he can return to the club after he has finished his playing career, with Blues coach Jose Mourinho saying: "Mr Abramovich, the No. 1, the most important person at the club, wants Frank to be back very much.
"Everybody wants it. I want him to be back and the staff want him back, so he comes back for sure. He can come back the way he wants. Mr Abramovich has left the door completely open for him on the understanding Frank can do anything he wants at this club."
