Paulo Dybala: New Juventus agreement will be signed imminently

Paulo Dybala has said he expects to sign a new Juventus contract when his agent arrives in Italy in the next few days.

Dybala, 23, still has more than three years to run on the deal he signed when he joined from Palermo in 2015, but Juve have offered him improved terms to stave off growing interest from other top clubs.

The forward told Mediaset that negotiations should be concluded within a week and added: "There's very little left to do -- we are very close to an agreement.

"My agent is coming to Italy in the next few days to discuss the final formalities with [Juve general manager Beppe] Marotta.

"We will reach an agreement -- there is willingness to do so on our part."

Dybala has scored 31 goals in 70 games for Juve, but has failed to score in his past four appearances and argued with coach Massimiliano Allegri after he was substituted in a recent game.

He said that argument "was a mistake and it won't happen again," adding: "Maybe I'm going to ask to be substituted in future, because I've heard about Alessandro Del Piero's record [of 19 substitutions in a season].

"Since it's going to be difficult to beat his record of total appearances and goals here, at least I could beat him with this record."
