Marco Silva urges Hull City players to bring a halt to Leicester revival

Hull City boss Marco Silva has challenged his players to stop Leicester's resurgence and boost their own bid for Premier League survival.

Silva's side have taken eight points from his six league games at the helm, a significant improvement on the 13 they had taken from the first 20, to give themselves a chance of escaping the drop.

But after champions Leicester began the post-Claudio Ranieri era with a 3-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday, Silva said Hull would need to halt their momentum in order to prosper.

He told the club's official website: "Every game we play is a big opportunity for us to take points and move up the table.

"We need to think game by game and right now we only think about Leicester on Saturday. They have had a change in management and when this happens there is normally a change in the performance of the team.

"We need to be ready for this situation, but what we really need to focus on is our own work and to do it to our best on the pitch."
