Hull City youngster Max Sheaf recovers at home after skull fracture

Hull youngster Max Sheaf is recovering at home after suffering a skull fracture during a game, the club have said.

Sheaf, a 16-year-old midfielder, was knocked unconscious in a clash of heads while playing for a Tigers XI against Kenyan side the SportPesa All Stars on Monday.

He was treated at length on the pitch before being taken to hospital and is now continuing his recovery at home.

In a statement posted on the club's official Twitter account, Hull said: "We can confirm that Max Sheaf is now at home & recovering well after suffering a Temporal bone fracture against the @SportPesa All-Stars.

"Everyone at the club wishes Max a speedy recovery."

The incident happened just weeks after Hull first-team midfielder Ryan Mason underwent emergency surgery after suffering a skull fracture in a collision with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.
