Borussia Dortmund do not believe that their Italy forward Ciro Immobile suffered a serious injury in Italy's 2-0 victory against Norway on Tuesday.

- Hummels: I didn't want a release clause

Immobile, 24, was stretchered off in stoppage time after a collision with Norway's Vegard Forren, but Dortmund director of communications Sascha Fligge wrote on Twitter: "At this time, we assume that he did not suffer a severe injury."

Speaking to Rai Sport late on Tuesday, in quotes reported by Der Westen, Italy team doc Enrico Castellacci had already eased some BVB nerves, explaining: "Immobile has bruised his hip and could not move at first. But it got better after a few minutes."

Dortmund face Freiburg in the Bundesliga this weekend, and host Arsenal in their first match of this year's Champions League on Tuesday.

Coach Jurgen Klopp is already without the injured Marco Reus, while captain Mats Hummels and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who did not train with the team on Tuesday, are doubtful.

Midfielders Ilkay Gundogan and Jakub Blaszcyzkowski have returned to training but are not options after long spells on the sidelines.
