What a finish. West Ham looked to have won it as they defended for their lives in the game's closing stages, only for that man Van Persie to strike and secure a replay for his side.
And there goes the full-time whistle. A replay at Old Trafford then.
Carlton Cole clears Giggs' corner. It soon comes to Valencia but he can only blaze over.
Buttner wins a corner off Collins.
United are searching for a winner...
Kagawa sends a ball across the area but fails to find a team-mate. Could have taken the shot on himself.
Four minutes of injury time to be played.
Giggs makes up for his earlier miss as he picks out Van Persie with a superb cross-field ball. The striker brings it down with a great touch before slotting past Jaaskelainen. Top goal.

A real chance for United. Rafael picks out Giggs with a delightful ball but the midfielder can only head over. He should have hit the back of the net and Sir Alex Ferguson knows it.
West Ham are doing very well to keep hold of the ball now. United are getting frustrated.
West Ham break down the other end. Jarvis picks out Taylor who heads the ball across the face of goal. Nolan miskicks it while Carlton Cole gets a touch on it but can only send it just wide of the post.
Valencia gets another cross into the box but West Ham head clear.
United look short of ideas...
Valencia makes his way down the right before sending a cross in but it is poor and goes out for the goal kick.
Noble's free-kick is cleared as far as Collison on the edge of the box but he shoots well over. Should have done better.
Vidic gets booked for a foul on Jarvis. The West Ham man did very well to win the free-kick in the corner for his side.
Time is starting to tick for United and at the moment they do not really look like scoring.
Taylor drills in a cross from the left but it is easy for De Gea to deal with.
West Ham get it clear but only as far as Giggs who picks out Vidic. The United skipper heads it wide however.
Demel concedes another corner with a poor header.
Kagawa and Valencia combine. United win the corner.

United make another change as Giggs comes on for Smalling.
The Upton Park faithful are starting to get a little nervous.

What have United got in response now? They have seen plenty of the ball in this half but have lacked any real penetration.
So United fall behind for the first time in the game. Are they going to come back once again?
That is where West Ham have been most dangerous today, when Joe Cole has been sending balls into the box. United have struggled with his deliveries all game.
Nearly identical to the first goal. Joe Cole with a fine delivery into the box and Collins heads home leaving De Gea with no chance.

The game is starting to become a little more stretched now.
United break down the other end through Kagawa but his shot is blocked by Tomkins.
Joe Cole gets to the byline and sends in a fine cross to Carlton Cole who brings out a great save from De Gea to deny his header. That is better from the Hammers.
Remember, the draw for the next round of the FA Cup is tomorrow at 1530GMT.
Collison has taken a ball to the face from Rafael and is in a bit of pain currently.
West Ham need to get hold of the ball and test the United defence like they were doing in the first half.
Cleverley tries to pick out Welbeck with a pass but it is poor, leaving the striker with no chance of getting on the end of it.

Smalling gets a cross in from the right but Potts clears. Smalling soon sends another ball into the box but Welbeck is unable to bring it under control.

Welbeck does well to play in Rafael down the right. The Brazilian tees up Cleverley on the edge of the box but he sends it over the bar. That was a real chance there.
United play it around the box before Rafael takes aim from the edge of the box but it canons straight back off a defender.

United, who have seen most of the ball, took an early lead before West Ham, who have looked increasingly dangerous as the game has gone on, clawed the scores level. The game is finely poised for an exciting second half. Could go either way.
And there goes the half-time whistle.
Joe Cole fizzes a great ball into the box but Vidic gets a vital header in to clear the danger.
West Ham are knocking the ball around nicely now.

Both sides' performance levels seemed to have dropped a little over the last five minutes or so.

United clear the corner but Vaz Te sends the ball back into the box. Carlton Cole sends it to Nolan but the midfielder is in an offside position.
Joe Cole shoots from distance but it hits Evans. Demel goes on to win the corner off Buttner.
United have a header cleared off the line this time as Potts clears Vidic's header following a corner into the box.
Buttner lofts the ball into the box and Demel concedes a cheap corner when it was already going out for a goal kick.

United scramble a West Ham ball into the box away to safety. The Hammers have been causing their opponents a few problems when they have gone forward.
Welbeck has the ball in the back of the net but it is disallowed after Hernandez was ruled offside.
United fail to deal with a long ball forward from Collins and Nolan nearly takes advantage but can only stab wide.

West Ham inches away from scoring. Diarra sees his header cleared off the line by Scholes before Vidic heads clear with Carlton Cole breathing down his neck.

West Ham could really do with a sustained spell of possession. Every time they get hold of it they soon lose the ball.
A chance for United as Smalling pulls the ball across the face of goal but Hernandez is just unable to make contact.
Demel does well to intercept Kagawa's through ball and now West Ham have the ball.
Nolan tries to force his way through the United defence but Evans is there to avert the danger.
Rafael makes a run down the right but Joe Cole is there to get the tackle in.
West Ham are really struggling to get hold of the ball at the moment. It is all United.
Carlton Cole tries to latch onto a long ball over the top but Vidic uses his strength to get in the way and knock the ball back to De Gea.
United are pegging back West Ham in their own half already.
Rafael is playing in an advanced right midfield role, with Smalling playing behind him at right back.
Cleverley tries to slip in Hernandez but he just overhits it and Jaaskelainen comes out to smother the ball.
