Join us at 1600 GMT for live commentary of another huge Premier League game - Chelsea v Manchester United.

  • 90'

A thrilling first half is followed by a slightly more subdued second. Chances for both sides to win but they lacked the cutting edge they showed in the first 45. Liverpool will feel like they should be walking away with all three points though after Suarez's injury-time goal was disallowed. A draw seems about right.

  • 90'

And there goes the full-time whistle. It's all over at Goodison.

  • 90'

The Liverpool players' celebrations were cut short much to the relief of the Everton fans. Suarez looked onside there though. The away side will feel hard done by.

  • 90'

And Suarez thought he had won it there. But it's disallowed. Gerrard sends in the free-kick to Coates at the far post. The centre back heads it across goal to Suarez who converts.

  • 90'

Osman concedes a free-kick. Another chance for Gerrard here...

  • 90'

Baines plays in Oviedo down the left who then whips in a dangerous ball but the Liverpool defence deal with it with little problem.

  • 90'

It's gone a little flat here at Goodison. Both teams settling for the draw?

  • 90'

    Four minutes of injury time.

  • 90'

Gerrard tries to make amends for the free-kick with one of his trademark driving runs. Not one of his finest though as his touch lets him down and it runs well ahead of him and out for a goal kick.

  • 89'

Disappointing for Liverpool though as it goes out for a goal kick.

  • 89'

Gerrard now has the opportunity to whip in a dangerous free-kick.

  • 88'

Marriner gives an Everton free-kick deep in their half for a foul. He catches the ball before blowing his whistle though.

  • 87'

Oviedo makes an instant impact and whips in a dangerous ball from the right but Shelvey is there to clear.

  • 87'

Four minutes to go plus stoppage time. Is there another goal in this game?

  • 86'

Coleman picks up a yellow for a late challenge on Sterling.

  • 85'

Bryan Oviedo comes on for Steven Naismith.

  • 85'

Liverpool are really on top now. A quick free-kick leads to Sterling firing an effort at goal that goes just over.

  • 83'

It's Baines who blocks for Everton this time. Suarez gets to the ball first ahead of Distin in the corner before he cuts in and fires at goal. But the left back is there with the block.

  • 82'

Jagielka to the rescue for Everton as he blocks Gerrard's goalbound effort. Henderson had stolen the ball from Gueye at the byline before laying it off to the Liverpool skipper.

  • 82'

Distin then heads the resultant corner over the bar.

  • 81'

Everton go close through Baines. Distin gets on the end of a ball in the box which falls to the left back. His effort is blocked and off for a corner though.

  • 78'

Liverpool close to creating a chance there. Gerrard picks out Suarez with a clever pass but Uruguayan slips at just the wrong time.

  • 77'

Both sides have been lacking that clinical edge in the final third during this second half.

  • 76'

Liverpool counter through Shelvey who decides to shoot well wide, when passing to the unmarked Sterling would have been the better option.

  • 76'

Coleman fires in a ball for Everton but Jones is there to deal with it.

  • 75'

A ball played over the top to Shelvey but he fouls Distin to give away a free-kick.

  • 73'

Liverpool quickly break and Henderson finds himself in space down the right. He sends in a ball but Howards tips it over the bar.

  • 73'

Penalty shout for Everton as Jelavic goes down. Nothing given.

  • 72'

Everton are overhitting a lot of their passes in this second half. In the first 45 some of their passing and movement was perfect.

  • 71'

This second half is lacking the spice of that fine first half. Both teams seem to be playing with a little less urgency in their game.

  • 71'

Suarez sees yellow for a clumsy tackle on Distin.

  • 70'

Liverpool have made all their changes now.

  • 70'

Henderson making his 150th appearance of his club career.

  • 70'

Jordan Henderson comes on for Andre Wisdom.

  • 70'

This time Liverpool are able to deal with Baines' free-kick.

  • 69'

Agger receives a yellow for handling the ball. He was pushed by Fellaini first though.

  • 68'

Enrique searches for the run of Suarez but the striker is offside.

  • 67'

Liverpool need to stop giving these free-kicks away. Thats twice in a matter of minutes they could have been punished.

  • 67'

He picks out Jelavic again. And again Jelavic heads wide. This time he probably should have found the target.

  • 66'

Allen brings down Coleman for another free-kick to Everton. Baines steps up...

  • 65'

Gueye has looked a threat since coming on. That's the second time in a row he's beaten his man thanks to a lovely touch.

  • 64'

Liverpool seem to be giving plenty of free-kicks away giving Baines chance after chance to send a dangerous ball in. This time he picks out Jelavic who heads it wide.

  • 63'

It looks fairly even at the minute with both teams looking dangerous. The edge is probably with the home side though.

  • 62'

It's like a game of basketball this. One chance for one team then the other run down length of the pitch for their go.

  • 61'

A chance for Everton. A great one-two between Coleman and Fellaini leads to Coleman in space down the right. The full back fires in a ball across the danger zone which just manages to elude Jelavic.

  • 60'

Coleman sends a ball over the top in search of Jelavic but overhits it.

  • 58'

Coleman sends in a dangerous ball that eludes the Liverpool defence. Fellaini rises above Coates but can only head it wide of the target.

  • 58'

Gerrard smashes the resultant free-kick goal-bound from 30 yards. Howard gets down low to tip it away.

  • 57'

Jagielka receives a yellow for bringing down Sterling. Cynical.

  • 57'

A similar start to the first half here with both teams having some early half chances but struggling to keep possession for extended periods.

  • 56'

Suarez does well to get past Jagielka down the right but Distin is there to block his cross-cum-shot.

  • 55'

Sterling makes it look easy he as he turns and sprints past two Everton midfielders. However his pass to Suarez leaves a little less to be desired.

  • 54'

Liverpool pour forward again but Jagielka does brilliantly to tackle Gerrard to stop the danger.

  • 53'

Shelvey has been looking to create since coming on. This time his pass just fails to pick out Sterling who was making an infield run.

  • 49'

Jelavic brings a decent save out of Jones. Baines gets to the rebound and sends it back across goal. The ball eventually comes out to Coleman on the edge of the box but he pulls his shot well wide.

  • 49'

Liverpool should be in the lead. Enrique plays in Sterling through on goal. The youngster tries to dink the ball over the incoming Howard but it bounces well wide. Suarez was free in the middle too.

  • 49'

Gerrard tries to pick out Suarez but his ball goes off for a throw Liverpool will need Gerrard and Allen to see more of the ball in this half if they are to be successful.

  • 48'

Shelvey gets on the ball straight away and plays in Wisdom in space down the right. The full back delivers a dangerous ball across goal that Suarez just fails to connect with.

  • 46'

And we're off. Everton start as they mean to go on with an early attack. A dangerous ball is dealt with by the Liverpool defence.

  • 45'

Magaye Gueye on for Kevin Mirallas.

  • 45'

Sebastian Coates on for Nuri Sahin.

  • 45'

Jonjo Shelvey comes on for Suso.

  • 45'

Steven Naismith pounced to equalise for Everton.

  • 45'

Luis Suarez celebrated Liverpool's first goal by diving in front of David Moyes, who had criticised him for doing just that prior to the game.

  • 45'

And the half-time whistle goes. What an enthralling 45 minutes it was. Liverpool started the brighter and somehow found themselves 2-0 up. But that only brought out the best in Everton who came storming back into the game and eventually managed to draw proceedings level. They were in total ascendancy for the latter end to the half and may go into the changing rooms wishing they had taken the lead.

  • 45'

Liverpool pass it around nicely for the first time in a while. Suarez, on the right, picks out Gerrard on the edge of the box but he can only half volley it over the bar. Better from the away side though.

  • 45'

Neville picks up a yellow for diving. Oh the irony.

  • 45'

Everton's response since falling two behind has been, quite simply, excellent.

  • 45'

Three minutes of added time to be played.

  • 45'

Liverpool will welcome the imminent half-time whistle. They can't get the ball at the moment.

  • 44'

The resultant corner is headed clear but only as far as Coleman waiting outside the area, who fires it at goal. It rises just over.

  • 43'

Mirallas turns past Wisdom again and fires in a shot at goal but Skrtel diverts it for a corner.

  • 42'

Luis Suarez's strike bounces off Leighton Baines as the left back gifts the away side a 1-0 lead

  • 42'

Baines' free-kick is dangerous but the Liverpool defence manage to head it clear.

  • 40'

Mirallas is brought down by Suarez in a dangerous position as he wins Everton a free-kick.

  • 39'

Mirallas has been in inspired form for Everton today. Nearly all their attacks are coming from him and down the left-hand side.

  • 38'

It's all Everton now as Fellaini plays in Mirallas down the right who glides past Wisdom again before firing a ball at goal which Jones turns past the post.

  • 37'

Has the tide turned in Everton's favour? It looks like it as Fellaini nicks the ball from the Liverpool midfield but Jelavic can't quite get to his pass over the top.

  • 37'

We're back to where we started then. All square.

  • 35'

Fellaini does well to turn on a six pence inside the Liverpool box before firing a dangerous ball right across goal. Naismith is there to turn the ball in after making a great run. Jelavic was waiting should he have failed to make any contact.

  • 34'

    GOAL FOR EVERTON. NAISMITH.

  • 34'

Suarez and Sahin try to find their way past the Everton defence but to no avail before Gerrard's cross is headed clear.

  • 33'

This game is being played at 100 miles an hour and neither team are pulling out of any challenges. Great stuff.

  • 31'

Jelavic appeared to be in on goal, however, the linesman raises his flag. Quite late too.

  • 31'

Interestingly Sterling changes flanks. Baines is causing him too many problems at the moment.

  • 31'

Sterling, who has just been booked, takes out Baines again. Marriner uses a bit of common sense and keeps his card in his pocket. I think he realises the first foul wasn't actually that bad.

  • 31'

Both teams want another goal here. Attack is certainly the best form of defence for Liverpool.

  • 30'

He does it again. Nearly finds his compatriot Fellaini but just overhits it.

  • 30'

Another Mirallas ball in but it is well dealt with by the Liverpool defence.

  • 29'

Sterling picks up a yellow for a mistimed challenge on Baines.

  • 28'

A chance at the other end for Everton. Jelavic plays in Fellaini inside the box but the Belgian puts too much on his first touch and it runs off for a goal kick. If he sorted that touch he may have been able to find the back of the net with his next one.

  • 27'

Suarez with a blistering shot. He drills it just wide of the post from 25 yards out. Howard looked well beaten. The Uruguayan could have had a hat-trick inside half an hour.

  • 26'

Jones again is at fault for Liverpool as he fumbles an Everton cross. Luckily for him it bounces clear away from the danger.

  • 26'

Mirallas is causing real problems here. He delivers a fantastic ball into the box but Skrtel heads clear.

  • 25'

Incidentally, with Suarez's second goal perhaps Howard could have done better to deal with Gerrard's ball in. Instead he remained rooted to the spot.

  • 24'

I thought there might be a few goals in this game. Three already with just 24 minutes played.

  • 23'

A fantastic response there from Everton. They really needed to react quickly after conceding that second.

  • 22'

Great strike from Osman as Jones fails to get enough on his punch from an Everton corner. It lands at the feet of Osman who half-volleys it perfectly into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

  • 22'

    GOAL FOR EVERTON. OSMAN.

  • 22'

Immediately down the other end Fellaini half volleys an effort but it deflects off Skrtel and wide.

  • 20'

A fabulous ball in from Gerrard from the resultant free-kick eludes the Everton defence but Suarez is there unmarked to get his head on the ball and find the bottom corner.

  • 20'

    GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL. SUAREZ.

  • 19'

Osman picks up a yellow for catching the heels of Sterling. It looked accidental.

  • 19'

What have Everton got in response now? They haven't been playing badly and will so certainly feel hard done by with the deflection off Baines for the goal.

  • 16'

You have to say Liverpool probably deserve that at the minute. They have had a bit of sustained pressure up until that point with Gerrard and Allen keeping the ball by moving it around nicely. Enrique deserves credit for his attacking performance so far.

  • 14'

Liverpool work the ball well before Enrique finds himself in space down the left to deliver a dangerous ball across the face of goal. Sterling goes down as he attempts to reach the cross but Suarez is there at the far post to drill the ball towards goal. Luckily for the away side it comes off Baines, leaving the helpless Howard with no chance.

  • 14'

    GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL. SUAREZ.

  • 14'

Suarez tries to find the run of Sterling but a poor pass leaves the pacy winger with no chance of getting to the ball.

  • 13'

Neither Gerrard or Jagielka pull out of a tough 50-50 challenge there. Just what we like to see.

  • 12'

Liverpool build an attack down the right but Suarez in an offside position brings the move to a halt.

  • 11'

Everton will hoping for more of that from Mirallas down the left as he comes up against the talented but inexperienced Andre Wisdom.

  • 9'

The resultant corner is well punched clear by Jones. A very dangerous ball.

  • 9'

What a run there from Mirallas as he glides past Allen and Wisdom before pulling a ball back across goal but Agger diverts it for the corner.

  • 8'

Enrique has been getting forward well so far but he is early caught out as a ball is played in behind him to Naismith but again it is just a little long.

  • 7'

Both teams have shown their attacking intent already with some quick breaks. If it carries on like this there could be a few goals in this game today.

  • 5'

This is end to end stuff. Naismith tries to pick out Jelavic but just overhits it a little and Jones is there first to collect the ball.

  • 5'

Down the other end Suarez does well to find some space before finding Suso but his delivery is dealt with by Howard.

  • 5'

Naismith and Coleman link up well down the right before Fellaini tries to play a deft ball into the box but Agger is there to clear.

  • 4'

Gerrard whips in a Liverpool corner which goes long but Sahin recovers the ball. However, his delivery into the box lacks any accuracy and goes out for a goal kick.

  • 3'

Liverpool threaten again as Enrique plays a dangerous ball into the box but Jagielka is there to snuff out the danger.

  • 3'

A rapid start to the game. Just what we've come to expect from a Merseyside derby.

  • 1'

Liverppol with a chance there as they break from an Everton corner. Enrique storms forward but instead of playing the ball to the unmarked Sterling he delays and eventually the move comes to nothing.

  • 1'

And we're off. Everton show their intent straight off as Baines plays a long ball towards Fellaini who knocks on a header to Jelavic but his cross is a little long.

  •

The teams step out at Goodison to a rapturous applause. The Everton fans are up this one I think.

  •

Former Toffee Jack Rodwell was shown a red the last time these sides met at Goodison Park. Liverpool won that game 2-0, thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.

  •

Andre Marriner is the man in charge of today's game. He has been one of the Premier League's most lenient officials this season having showed nine yellows and no reds. That could change today given this fixture's history - 14 players have seen red in the last 23 Merseyside derbies.

  •

Brad Jones keeps his place in goal for Liverpool as Pepe Reina fails to return from fitness in time. Glen Johnson has not recovered from the injury he picked up in the 1-0 win against Anzhi in midweek so Jose Enrique fills in. While Joe Allen, Suso and Raheem Sterling come in for Jonjo Shelvey, Stewart Downing and Oussama Assaidi.

  •

Everton are boosted by the return of Marouane Fellaini from injury, however, they will be without the suspended Steven Pienaar. Their only other change from the 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers is Steven Naismith, who comes in for Victor Anichebe.

  •

Liverpool XI to play Everton: Jones, Enrique, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Gerrard, Allen, Sahin, Sterling, Suso, Suarez.

  •

Everton XI to face Liverpool: Howard, Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Neville, Osman, Fellaini, Naismith, Mirallas, Jelavic.

  •

From the fans' perspective - in the red corner we have Kristian Walsh, who reluctantly rolls out the 'six-pointer' cliche. In the blue corner we have Luke O'Farrell, who believes Marouane Fellaini will be key for the Toffees if he recovers from injury.

  •

Everton captain Phil Neville has urged his team- mates not to lose their cool at Goodison, having previously twice been sent off himself in the derby.
