FULL TIME - Everton neglect to put their last chance free kick into the box, Anichebe and Fellaini hang out on the wing instead. Bizarre. Honours even though and a good game despite there being no goals. Everton defended superbly and warranted a share of the spoils. They are odds on to finish above their rivals now, five clear with two games left.
Osman booked now for bringing down Coutinho.
Three minutes added....
Gerrard fouls Baines and then unloads some sweary sentiments into Michael Oliver's face. Not necessary. Reina claims again.
Reina claims Baines' free kick. No quick offload available though. We're heading for another draw it looks like.
The corner is cleared then Borini barges into Baines and is booked. A little harsh, given what has gone before.
Anichebe cuts in and his shot flicks off Lucas, Reina tips it over via the post. Bit flappy.
Good fitness levels from Everton to still be closing down well as we near the 90-minute mark.
Who wants to be a hero?
Anichebe does get penalised a lot for just being strong. He eases Johnson off the ball but the whistle blows. David Moyes not happy.
Good run from Gibson but he gets into trouble on the edge of the box, Liverpool break but Jagielka holds up Borini.
Good ball wide from Sturridge, a fine volleyed cross from Enrique but Borini can't get there quick enough to turn into an empty net.
Nice turn from Pienaar but a poor pass for Jelavic.
Agger meets the Gerrard centre but flicks it narrowly wide of the far post. Hit his shoulder by the looks. He fell awkwardly and is clutching his wrist.
Downing goes off, Skrtel comes on. Interesting one that.
Another good piece of work from Distin to cover Sturridge. Both he and Jagielka have been excellent.
Now Baines crosses but Reina takes it well on the bounce at his near post.
Anichebe does well to cross, Fellaini charges towards it but Enrique clears well.
Mirallas comes off for Jelavic.
Time for Jelavic it looks like.
Sturridge does well to feed in Gerrard, he rounds Howard but Distin covered and clears the shot. Great defending.
Game stretched now as Coutinho fires over from an angle, Everton wanted a foul for an Enrique shove on Mirallas, but he was just the stronger of the two.
Gerrard fouled by Mirallas but the free kick comes to nothing.
Good clearing header from Jagielka as Coutinho crossed then Anichebe wants a free kick but doesn't get one. Now Downing wins a corner.
Anichebe holds off Agger well, good strength, but as he slips in Fellaini fires over from a tight angle.
Still no sign of the opening goal as Coleman is muscled off the ball by Enrique. Now Everton win a throw in by the corner flag.
The last three 0-0 draws between Everton and Liverpool in the Premier League have been played out at Anfield. (Opta).
Liverpool change, Henderson goes off, Fabio Borini comes on.
Mirallas has a pop from range but that was never testing Reina.
Still none the wiser about the disallowed goal despite the eighth replay.
Anichebe does very well to win the ball after a poor Pienaar pass but no-one was in the box. He's not happy.
One goal could win this.
Everton's ire with the officials is growing as they are denied a corner.
Gibson looks for Coleman but the pass is over hit.
Another sublime pass from Gerrard to switch play, Johnson's cross flashes past Sturridge then Coutinho's low shot is right at Howard.
There was plenty going on, a bit of tussling here and there but no clear incident to illuminate us as to what Michael Oliver saw.
Pienaar flagged offside now, still a mystery what the goal was disallowed for.
Straight up the other end and Distin clears an Enrique cross from inside the box. Things hotting up.
Distin heads in from a corner but the ref had blown, very hard to see what he gave it for. Anichebe booked for arguing.
Sloppy from Coleman as he looked for Mirallas down the left. Right out of play.
Downing's pass poor as Sturridge made a run off the back of Distin.
Pienaar gets in Johnson's way as the defender looked to get into the box. Nothing wrong with that.
Good combinations down the left causing Everton some problems. Mirallas not the best at tracking back.
Good football from Henderson and Downing to release Enrique but his cross is swallowed by Howard.
Great vision from Coutinho after intercepting a Fellaini back heel.
Fantastic goalkeeping from Howard after Coutinho found Sturridge with a glorious pass, Howard comes out well, stays on his feet and blocks the shot, then makes a tackle on the ground for good measure.
Liverpool start on the front foot, Enrique getting a cross into the box.
We begin again....

Luis Suarez and family watch the Merseyside derby at Anfield
HALF TIME - an entertaining 45 minutes without many real clear cut chances. Threats posed from both sides, some decent defending on show and Michael Oliver deserves a medal for not showing any cards so far.
They take the second short and that doesn't work either *adopts smug grin*
Everton take it short and cementing my theory that they never work, it doesn't work. They get another though.
Ungainly from Enrique who loses the ball, Everton counter, the ball falls back to Gibson and his shot is deflected behind for corner.
Downing's ball fell for Sturridge and Coleman did well to put him off but the ball fell for Coutinho on the edge with a clear strike on goal before Jagielka dived in to block his shot. Supreme defending.
Baines clatters Downing and again screams go up for a card. I think both sets of players should embrace this leniency. Then a superb saving tackle from Jagielka denies Coutinho.
Gibson takes it and curls it well wide. Baines would have been a better bet.
Johnson's header goes straight up in the air, Reina charges out to punch then Agger fouls Mirallas and Everton have a free kick 25 yards out and central.
Everton win a free kick wide left. More danger for Liverpool given their aerial prowess.
Two good tackles in a split second, Baines on Downing, Johnson on Pienaar.
Enrique's cross is claimed by Howard.
Good, even contest now. Was always going to be a tight affair.
More smoke stalking the pitch after another flare is let off.

Now Fellaini barges into Lucas and Liverpool have a free kick.
Big chance for Gerrard as Henderson turns the ball back into the box from Downing's cross. Great block from Jagielka.
Jagielka clears the danger as Johnson looks for Sturridge.
Gerrard's free kick is long and out of play. Unusual for him.
Gibson is late on Coutinho - Liverpool's players want a card but they should be careful what they wish for. They've put in a few meaty ones too. Just a talking to but that first yellow not far away.
Baines gets down the left and crosses, Gerrard clears the danger.
Danger from Everton's first corner, Anichebe actually cleared the delivery from near the goalline, then Pienaar's touch is poor meaning his eventual effort spins wide. Fellaini's elbows were swinging too.
Decent game this - good flow and pace to it.
Osman and Gerrard have been involved in a few meaty tackles but both have got up and got on with it. Osman stoops for a header, Gerrard sticks out a boot - Everton free kick, no messing. Good to see.
Another effort from Sturridge, Coutinho had made a great run and was in space. Greedy, greedy, greedy.
Mirallas tests Reina with a daisy cutter but he was offside. Good spell for Everton.
Controversy. The linesman, a good 40 yards away, gives Everton a throw when Michael Oliver hadn't given anything. it was the right decision the replay shows.
Now Mirallas flashes a ball across goal - where was Anichebe?
Now that was close! Fellaini and Carragher grapple and the Belgian manages to stick out a leg to volley narrowly wide from seven yards out. Great improvised effort.
Pienaar does well to shield the ball from Johnson and win a free kick on the corner of the area. Clumsy foul.
Now Sturridge strays two yards offside as Coutinho came forward.
An errant pass from Osman looking for Coleman. Everton haven't got started yet.

Liverpool looking far more dangerous in the early stages.
Sturridge does well to get beyond Jagielka and cross, Distin clears with Coutinho lurking. Danger for Everton.
Gerrard thunders into a tackle on Osman and looks hurt. He lies on the turf for a few seconds before popping up gingerly. Not a great challenge it has to be said, from either man.
Lucas thumps in late on Osman - a booking in any other game, a talking to in the early stages of a derby.
A superb long ball from Henderson finds Sturridge, Downing takes over and crosses before Sturridge drags a shot wide from the edge of the box.
Gibson in strongly on Gerrard then Gerrard in strongly on Fellaini. Good desire.
No reducers yet, but the ball is pinging about in typical derby fashion.
Everton have only won one of their last 12 Premier League Merseyside derbies (D4 L7). (Opta).
Smoke from a couple of flares in the away end floating over the pitch as Liverpool enjoy some early possession, then Gerrard fouls Pienaar.
A nice touch from The Kop, holding up cards that spells out 'Thanks' in red and blue letters to express their gratitude for the support they've had from their neighbours in the past year in relation to the Hillsborough revelations. A nice touch and a mark of the bond in this special football city.
