That is a huge win for Chelsea and one they deserved too. They pressed for long periods, created chances and finally broke the deadlock through Mata. All the action came in the space of a few minutes at the end. Chelsea now third and can move six clear of Spurs if they win on Wednesday.

Torres nods clear and Chelsea break, Ramires cuts in and shoots wide.

HALF TIME - Good work from Vidic who goes down the left and gets past Oscar, he crosses and RVP nods right at Cech. And that is that for the half. Not terrible but not great. A goal ASAP please.
Oscar fires a shot wide and claims a corner. No, young man. Then at the other end a flying Giggs volleys over from Valencia's cross. Difficult chance.
A fabulous ball from Giggs to the onrushing RVP but his dinked finish drops a few yards wide. Should have leathered it. Great vision from the veteran.
