FULL TIME - job done for Arsenal but they made heavy weather of it in the end. It was a poor game, decided inside the 20 opening seconds. Walcott's winner moves Arsenal up to third, though they have played a game more than Tottenham and two more than Chelsea. QPR's miserable season continues.
Traore departs, Fabio comes on.
Not even any demands from the home fans to get the ball forward. They are utterly resigned to defeat here. Traore down after a tangle with Walcott.
Three minutes of time added on as Vermaelen replaces Rosicky.
Wilshere on for Cazorla.
An ambitious 45-yard effort from Zamora then another Ox run down a blind alley.
You could literally hear a pin drop at Loftus Road.
A piddly shot from Ramsey after another spell of box edge possession from Arsenal. They've been average today.
The Ox dispossessed by Jenas after Townsend and Taraabt had conspired to lose possession.
Podolski off for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
QPR's best moment that. Not much else to write home about.
Super save from Szczesny after a break from Rangers down the right, Zamora cuts the ball back, it falls to Remy and his curler is palmed round the post brilliantly.
Excellent tackle from Hill as Walcott looked to streak away. The striker congratulates him after getting up.
Just two wins all season at home for QPR. A third emerging today very unlikely.
Townsend has been Rangers' best player but he has over hit his cross there.
Taraabt is on in place of Park.
Jenas gets a yellow after scything down Rosicky, that after Zamora claimed a penalty after a tangle with Koscielny. Not a pen in my book.
Wenger wrings his hands on the bench. Nervous with only a one-goal lead.
Rosicky fails to collect a nice ball from Cazorla, fired in at his ankles as he sped into the area.
Monreal feeds Podolski and his low cross is cleared well by Hill. QPR sinking deeper.
Podolski's effort hits the jumping wall.
Cazorla fouled on the edge of the box - great chance for Arsenal. QPR regressing as the game wears on.
Delivery isn't great and Rangers clear.
Derry concedes another corner.
Walcott does well to wriggle away from Ben Haim and shoot, Green gets down well at his near post.
Peter Beardsley in the crowd. Newcastle come here next week of course.
Cazorla's turn to unleash a swerving shot on goal, Green watches it well and palms away from danger.
Green fouled from Arsenal's most recent corner.
Arsenal have picked it up a little and now Cazorla and Rosicky swap passes, Podolski wins the header but it doesn't fall for Walcott.
Koscielny ends up testing Green as Arsenal rebuild from a cleared free kick, his cross was rebounded too him but his effort too weak to trouble the 'keeper.
Derry fouls Rosicky late and that is a nailed on yellow.
Perhaps time for Wilshere to get a grip of Arsenal's midfield?
Zamora is free at the back after Park puts the ball in and Remy is close to getting on the end of his nod across goal. Wenger unhappy and rightly so.
Traore wins a corner now. Good spell for QPR. Arsenal sloppy.
The free kick is cleared and then Ben Haim tackles Ramsey to applause from Redknapp.
A deserved card for Monreal as Townsend rounds him and is hauled back as he approached the box. Cynical.
Much better this half from QPR.
Biggest cheer of the afternoon from the home fans as Ben Haim chases the ball down for a full 40 yards. They love a bit of effort.
Remy cuts in and shoots but Szczesny is behind it - Rangers testing Arsenal's goal finally.
A swerving effort from Townsend, then Jenas has a shot blocked on the edge of the box from the follow up.
Rosicky tries an intricate pass for Walcott when he was inside the box and should have had a pop. Why pass? Walcott was offside anyway.
Hill nods Sagna's cross clear. Final ball sorely lacking for Arsenal.
Arsenal need to show a bit more urgency here - Rangers are there for the taking and the longer it goes at 1-0....
Very poor from Rosicky, playing a ball Podolski was never going to reach.
Awful touch from Walcott as Podolski and Rosicky combined to send him through. Traore covered well.
Szczesny gets an important touch on a Townsend cross before Remy is crowded out at the back post.
Hill stops Podolski in his tracks when they were one-on-one - very poor from the German.
We begin again with a change for QPR - Mbia off, Derry on.
And if you thought the Premier League could dish up decent drama then you should definitely check out what happened in the Championship earlier. Hull went up eventually, but only after a tumultuous end to the regular season. Read all about it here.
If you missed any of today's action then why not have a read of our Premier League wrap.
HALF TIME - a sedate half for the most part, the decisive blow coming just 20 seconds into the game. Arsenal can wrap this up if they show more urgency, QPR at least making a fist of it.
Walcott with some direct running but a poor cross, cut out by Clint Hill, that good honest pro.
Townsend takes it and whips the ball to the far post. Decent effort and I have a feeling Szczesny waved that away before he actually knew it was wide.
Townsend and Remy lining this one up.
Park buys a free kick after the tiniest of nudges from Sagna.
Mbia has a go this time, but his strike was high, wide and not especially handsome.

John Gregory in the stands. Former player and manager of QPR.
Remy flagged offside after Townsend's good intervention on Cazorla.
Mbia's cross is blocked by Sagna. QPR throw in.
Very odd game this - pretty much silence in the stands. Fans can;t be bothered to even give each other stick.
Walcott opens the scoring
Better from Rangers as Townsend stands up from a Cazorla tackle, crosses and Park's shot from 12 yards is deflected behind.
Traore crosses dangerously - Mertesacker clears well.
Onuoha stands up to block Podolski's cross and then prevent a corner.
Complacency from Arsenal - they need to get tighter to Townsend. He looks decent.
Decent chance for Park as he ghosts into the area, well found by Townsend, and the Korean blasts over from 14 yards out.
Walcott slips or else he'd have been away down the right.
Walcott hits the post! a lovely turn, a fine hit and a flick from Green takes it onto the base of the post.
So easy for Arsenal to get in down the side as Samba is caught out of position. Podolski's cross is missed by Walcott.
Ramsey shielded from the ball well by Samba after Cazorla's flick.
Remy seizes possession but his shot from 30 yards out is wild and miles over the bar.
Seems a matter of time until Arsenal grab their second.

Tiny bit of pressure from QPR as Townsend has a shot blocked - then Zamora is flagged offside.
Lovely day in London - bright sunshine. At least that is something.

This game already has the feel of a pre-season friendly to it. It is supposed to be a London derby.
An errant pass from Mbia.
Green collects the corner confidently.
Arsenal win a corner after a neat stretch of passing on the edge of the box.
The last Premier League goal to be scored after 20 secs of a game was Kevin Doyle's for Reading v Sheff Utd in Sept 2006 (Opta).
I wonder how many of the QPR players on show today will still be at the club when they kick off in the Championship next season?
Always amazes me how titchy the pitch looks at Loftus Road. Like playing on a postage stamp.
Ramsey looking to run beyond every time Arsenal push forward. Enjoying his role by the looks.
A very subdued atmosphere as you might expect.
Arsenal looking dangerous every time they get space in midfield. No real shape or solidity to Rangers.

This season just keeps dealing pain to Rangers.
Well, blink and you'll miss it. 20 seconds on the clock, Arsenal ahead.
QPR 0-1 ARSENAL The quickest goal of the season, Arteta fed it through to Walcott and he slotted past Green.
GOAL Theo Walcott has scored already. A microcosm of QPR's season?
We're off at Loftus Road!
Tottenham have just beaten Southampton 1-0 thanks to a Bale wonder strike, so it over to Arsenal to regain the initiative at Loftus Road. What sort of Rangers display will we see today I wonder?
