Bayern have apparently never lost a home match in the Champions League after scoring the opener. A draw would suit Madrid just fine at this stage though.

Madrid certainly haven't been at their best, but it's probably true to say that owes as much to Bayern as anything else, and the hosts will feel they deserve their lead.

Bayern, of course, are desperate to reach the final at this stadium, particularly after all but handing the Bundesliga title to Dortmund.

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes told ESPNsoccernet that his players will not be in awe of Madrid and that he is not expecting the all-Spanish final most have predicted. Bayern look more capable of causing an upset than Chelsea, but it will be very tough indeed.

Arjen Robben says Bayern will have to play a "perfect game" to beat his former club.
Real Madrid are the favourites to progress, but history favours the hosts - they have beaten Madrid ten times in 18 meetings, with the Spaniards having won only six. On home soil, Bayern have won all but one of their meetings.
