FT: As City are out of the FA Cup they do not have a domestic fixture this weekend. Their next game will be next week's return leg and have plenty of time to prepare for it.
FT Porto showed enough to suggest they will pose a threat in the return leg but you would have to back City at home.
FT: A great result for Man City at the home of the defending Europa League champions, especially as they fought back from one goal down.
Porto win a corner but there is no time to take it as the referee blows for full-time.
Richards slides in Rodriguez. It was late and he gets booked.
Man City make their final change. Zabeleta is on for Nasri. That's four fullbacks on the pitch for City now.
Porto are still going for it but can't find the decisive pass to split the City defence.
Mangala is going off injured and on comes Defour to replace the defender.
This would be a great result for City, against a team who have not been beaten at home in seven European games.

And City could make it three with Kolarov on the break. But Managal chases him down and is caught by Kolarov as he makes the tackle.
City have fought back from behind in Porto and now lead 2-1.
GOAL Aguero passes the ball into the net. Toure races into the box and slides the ball across the face of goal for Aguero, who puts it in the back of the net.
Richards is still racing around the pitch. He chases down Pereira and makes a crunching tackle. The battle between those two has been the highlight of the match.
Man City make a defensive-minded change. Off goes Silva and on comes Kolarov.
Auguero takes a heavy touch and Rolando nips in to win possession back for Porto.
Yaya Toure, who played in the African Nations Cup final just four days ago, is looking tired now.
Kompany does well to step out of defence and make an interception. But Silva gives the ball away cheaply with a lazy pass.
Hulk looks like he is going to cry everytime he gets fouled. Which has been a lot in this game.
City respond with their own change. Balotelli is whistled off by the Porto crowd and Aguero comes on.

City seem to have stemmed the Porto tide.

With Porto pushing for a winner it could be perfectly set up for a Man City goal on the counter-attack.
Hulk delivers the freekick but Hart rushes off his line to claim the ball and clear any danger for City.

Well, it was a slice of luck but City have been playing much better in this half. It's 1-1 now.

Nasri fizzes a brilliant pass to Balotelli, but the Italian forward can't control it and holds his head in his hands.
Richards has had enough and charges down the right flank. He beats Pereira and smashes a shot against Helton's near post. Great effort from Richards.
City started passing it around the edge of the Porto box. Now the ball is back with keeper Hart. Disappointing.
The second-half has started with a flurry of fouls.... so the same as the first-half
Man City get the second-half underway, kicking from right to left.
HT: Nothing to do with this game, but Man Utd's Valencia has been ruled out for a month after he was injured against Ajax.
HT: Porto leftback Pereira has spent more time in the City box than his own, but maybe that is something Roberto Mancini's side can exploit in the second-half.
HT: Porto were quick out of the blocks and dominated City early on. No cageyness from the homeside, they are all out in attack, and got the goal they deserved.
HT: That's the last action of the half as the ref blows his whistle.
The City defence parts to allow Gonzalez to shoot, but the winger takes far too long and Kompany recovers his position to make a good block.
Moutinho sprays a pass to the left. Rodriguez and Lescott are in a foot race and both players get to the ball at the same time. Good covering by Lescott, who was all alone in defence.
Porto are back on the front foot with Hulk and Pereira.
City are playing well in flashes and have forced Helton to make some good saves.
Handball by Pereira. Silva shoots from a tight angle from the resulting freekick and Helton blocks his effort at the near post.
Clichy races down the left and whips in fantastic cross. Balotelli is inches away from making a telling contact but is muscled out by Pereira.

Toure's pass is wayward, which sums things up for City at the moment.

City are up against it now. Porto have gone gung-ho in attack and have got their reward.

City have struggled to get into Porto's half so far. They seem happy to see what their opposition have to offer.
