Where does Arsene Wenger go from here? The confidence is shot and the defending was village. Credit to Rovers though, who were under incredible pressure themselves and showed the kind of battling spirit that makes the Premier League so interesting.
FULL-TIME: BLACKBURN 4-3 ARSENAL. An incredible game, as Arsenal were leading 2-1 at half-time. Some shocking defending from the Gunners saw them capitulate in the second and give Blackburn their first points.
And the whistle goes!!
RVP flicks the ball on and Walcott is away... he flicks the ball over Robinson and it's cleared. Penalty? No... it's play on.
That surely has to be it...
Santos chips in again and Chamakh has a free header on the penalty spot! It flies wide!!!
Another great save, but it was hit straight at him and Arsenal now get a lucky corner...
Gervinho is found, he runs into the box and finds RVP whose shot is blocked by Robinson.
Santos gets the ball and crosses. Mertesacker is there on the far post and heads over... What a chance to level the scores.
A nervous ending expected for both sets of fans. Arsenal on the attack with Gervinho.
Four minutes to go...
Good power from Nzonzi keeps the ball and Olsson heads for the corner flag.
Wasteful from Robinson as he hands possession right back again.
Walcott gives it away and Arsenal are looking sloppy in the final third. Yakubu goes down like a sack of spuds and gets an important free-kick.
Rovers looking to run the clock down, but they have every right.
Walcott's ball skids across the box, it finds RVP and the Gunners are on the attack. Chamakh's shot is blocked. Thrilling stuff.
Blackburn still pushing though, they can't sit back and invite the Gunners to attack them.
Now Arsenal have something to go for...
A wonderful header into the side of the net and it's his first goal in the Prem since November.
GOAL Chamakh gets his head on the end of it. RVP's cross and he gets in between the defenders.
Clever from RVP to slip in Gervinho, but more good defending cuts it out before the chance can be taken. The story of Arsenal's attack at the moment really.
Still a wonderful save, clawed away before it found the net.
The corner finds the head of RVP, falling backwards, and his header is saved well by Robinson. It did lack power though.
Walcott pops up on the left, cuts inside and it's deflected behind. A decent chance at least.
Ramsey tackled on the edge of the box well and Rovers break again. So much space on offer at the moment.
Olsson with a blatent dive, but somehow manages to get a free-kick. He was already on a yellow card as well...
Gervinho does well to get past his man, but the cross finds Robinson's hands again. Up the other end, Nzonzi forces Szczesny into a save, but it was an easy one.
Arsenal's players stand dejected after they concede a third goal.
His first touch is a header that is saved, but the ref blows for a foul as he pushed his man in the back to get free.
Chamakh comes on, Song is sacrificed.
Walcott is making an impact and a chipped ball in finds RVP's head. Robinson forced to make the save and tips it over.
Walcott finding space, but Dann has been excellent all game and he cuts out the cross.
Song tries to thread another penetrating ball through, but it finds Robinson's gloves.
Gervinho does well again, and Santos tries to get it across. Walcott with a PEACH of a cross, but RVP and Arteta hardly move in the box to get on the end of it.
Santos' cross is palmed away by Robinson quite oddly.
Walcott and Ramsey try to combine, but the Gunners' heads are down. Understandably.
Gervinho's ball across is cleared by Dann and Blackburn look dangerous everytime they counter attack.
Olsson was booked for his celebration.
This is one of the most remarkable results in the Premier League - having led twice, the Gunners are now 4-2 behind.
Koscielny had noone around him, but couldn't stop the ball bouncing off him and into the net.
GOAL Koscielny own goal. Absolute disaster. Olsson got away down the right and cut it back.
Another corner for the Gunners. But it comes to nothing as Nzonzi clears inside his own area.
Givet clears the ball with ease and Arsenal need to learn from that. Ramsey's long range effort is blocked.
RVP stands over it... good chance here.
Dann brings down Walcott as he skips past him. Cynical.
Walcott breaks, slides the ball to Djourou whose cross is weak. That was never going to find RVP in the box.
Vukcevic comes on and Formica off for Blackburn.
Walcott on, Arshavin off.
A header comes in from RVP at the front post, but it slides wide.
Gervinho does very well and runs through the defence, he slots it wide and RVP is there. Just takes too long though and the shot is blocked.
Formica is limping, but he might be ok. Walcott is getting ready to come on for Arsenal.
Wonder if those who protested about Kean before the game are now signing his praises... Half an hour left.
Koscielny comes out to block Formica, and Blackburn are looking to attack. If they sit back and invite pressure, Arsenal could find a way back.
Incredible stuff and the crowd is getting right into it now. What a turnaround.
The corner comes in and it goes too far. Nzonzi controls and hammers it back across goal. Santos is playing Yak onside again and it's 3-2. Amazing stuff.
GOAL Yakubu gets on the end of a hammered cross from Nzonzi.
Olsson's cross is now blocked by Djourou, who has had a tough few minutes and they are looking rattled.
Ramsey having to track Hoilett now to keep him away from Djourou.
A good chance to deliver and Hoilett fails to elevate it. Cleared.
Djourou hauls back Hoilett as he gets past him. Oh dear.
Olsson comes on and Rochina is the man coming off.
In fact, he's caught out of position and Rochina gets away. He delayed his shot and Koscielny got back, but that was another chance.
Djourou's first job was to get back and clear. He won't have the same attacking threat as Sagna had.
That was a huge save from the Pole. One-on-one situation and at point blank range as well. Arsenal's defence are sleeping.
Great save from Szczesney as Formica bursts through. Terrible defending against from Arsenal. Koscielny was playing him miles onside and the Rovers striker hit his shot right at the keeper
Sagna looks injured and Djourou is coming on.
Song has a header from a corner, but he wasn't expecting it to reach him and the ball skids off his head and wide.
Arshavin now tries to get the Gunners back into it at the other end, but his shot is deflected.
Nobody dealt with the ball in, it had no pace on it at all and Szczesney was powerless.
No. It's Alex Song. A cheap goal as it diverts off the Arsenal man and goes into his own net. 2-2.
GOAL Samba takes the credit as the ball is chipped into the danger area and slips in.
Arshavin with a foul on the left side of the Arsenal box. They can swing it in...
Hoilett does Sagna again and gets away, but the cross eventually comes to nothing after a clearance from Koscielny.
Arteta takes possession but his through ball to RVP fails to find its mark.
Mertesacker does well to clear after Arshavin's ball back to him could have put the Gunners in trouble.
No changes at the half and Blackburn will need to be more disciplined if they are to keep the score down.

HALF-TIME: BLACKBURN 1-2 ARSENAL. The Gunners have had the better of things and look dangerous down the right and on the break. Yakubu reminded them they cannot switch off.
Song nips in and cuts out a ball up as well, he's had a decent half for the Gunners.
One last chance for Blackburn to attack. A huge free-kick finds Szczesny to claim.
Song's through ball is cut out and there's two extra minutes to go.
Robinson catches the corner, spills it. Then collects again and hoofs it well out of play up the other end. A good 10 seconds for him...
Great ball from Ramsey gives Arshavin a break. He bursts past Lowe, cuts inside to Gervinho who opts to shot instead of pass to the waiting RVP. Dann's tackle saves the day.
Blackburn fans protest prior to the Arsenal game.
Arsenal break, they have a real chance and Gervinho's aerial ball across the pitch to Arshavin is off target. He would have been through if it had landed in the right spot.
Hoilett cuts inside and has looked dangerous when not asked to defend. Song comes in and knocks him down.
The rain is pouring down now and the ball skids across the box, Koscielny could have had a chance if he been able to control it, but it was a tough one.
Gervinho and Arshavin combine well, but Dann comes across and makes the interception in front of the goalmouth.
Arsenal seem content to wait until half-time... Santos tries to thread in Gervinho and Samba is forced to change his mind quickly and clear.
Hoilett seems to have switched to the left side and now tries to get into the box. Looks very frustrated at the moment.
Van Persie tries to wriggle free, but held off and Robinson has to punch clear from the resulting corner.
Arsenal's Gervinho scores the opening goal at Blackburn.
Really good move from the Gunners, who were starting to look under pressure. A late run into the box is exactly what Arteta was bought for.
Arteta has scored two goals at Ewood Park this season. So have Blackburn.
GOAL Arteta! A great flowing move from the Gunners. Ramsey free down the right, cutback and fantastically cool finish.
Szczesny claims with more authority this time. Arsenal looking very shaky from long ball it must be said.
He's back up and carries on. Arsenal will be pleased as he has been a real threat.
Dann hammers into Sagna and the Arsenal man is down injured. It doesn't look good.
Hoilett with a great little run, but just a fraction too late and he's offside.
Samba now gets above Koscielny from the corner and heads over. He is a real danger.
Szczesny comes flying out to try and claim, but can't get near it. Sagna is forced to clear from behind him and Samba overhead is blocked.
Arsenal just trying to control the possession again and need a calming influence to get them back in the game. Ramsey takes out Hoilett.
Hoilett does his job at the other end of the pitch, and the crowd are now up for it.
Against the run of play, somewhat. And this will be a test of their mettle.
Santos is playing him miles onside. It was the simplest of balls through and Yakubu just slipped it home. 1-1.
GOAL Hoilett threads the ball to Yakubu and he slots it home.
Sagna and Gervinho with a great little move, no protection again and Gervinho shot should have been better after a cutback.
Santos is left one-on-one at the back as Rovers break and takes a gamble by diving in... it pays off and he makes a good tackle.
Blackburn really under pressure now. Hoilett is just not bothering to defend.
Great run and shot from Gervinho. The right hand side is open again and he cuts inside to make Robinson save again.
Lowe is surely a weak point for the Gunners to attack now out of position. Kean described him as a 'young Steven Gerrard' the other day.
Arshavin again looking dangerous and fires a shot in that is saved by Robinson. Waiting for the volley to drop and didn't catch it clean.
Arshavin has some space and hits a shot over the bar. Lowe is now operating at right-back, so he had a decent chance.
Rochina delivers a long free-kick and it causes horrible problems... no-one picks up Samba and he has a free header from five yards out. It's wide though. What a chance!
An injury surely, and a reshuffle required...
Petrovic on, Salgado off.
Rovers break and Holiett feeds Formica. Kosciely with a commanding header clear and the chance to attack goes.
Arteta is linking the play nicely for Arsenal. Short, little passes and nothing over complex. He's playing the Xavi role.
Hoilett cuts a frustrated figure as he jinks inside but can't find anyone to pass to and knocks it back to his defence.
Wrong decision from Lowe as Formica was away if he had played the right ball. He didn't.
Song is doing well to disrupt the Blackburn attacks, he is breaking up the play well.
Quick passing from Arshavin, Arteta and Ramsey get the Gunners away on the break and RVP shoots a curling shot wide.
Blackburn struggling to get hold of the ball, as Arsenal have clicked into gear.
Arsenal always play better when they go ahead early as the pressure is off a bit. They have a corner, which Gervinho tidies up and Samba is forced to clear again.
Robinson still has yet to get his hands on the ball by the way...
Great finish back across the goalkeeper, but it was a penetrating ball from Song who cut out the defensive line.
GOAL Gervinho. He tucks it away after a super pass from Song.
No tests yet for Robinson in goal... or Szczesny for that matter.
Arsenal finding some joy and space down the right hand side. Sagna keeps overlapping and Gervinho is finding him. Hoilett not doing his defensive duties well.
Arsenal on top of possession as you would expect and Van Persie's header back across goal causes some trouble. Dann clears from under his own bar.
Santos turns inside and gives the ball away poorly. Koscielny has to cover for him at LB against Formica and just does enough.
A decent cross from Sagna finds Van Persie, but he can't control it in the box and the chance disappears.
Rochina has a go from about 30 yards. He hammered a great goal against Fulham last weekend, but that was well wide.
Gervinho slips the ball to Van Perise who can't quite claim the ball on the run and take it past Salgado.
Formica penalised for a tackle on Koscielny. He's looked lively already and the Gunners will have to track his runs.
Good pace from the youngster and Sagna was left treading water.
Arsenal pressing high and looking to get hold of the ball but Blackburn doing well. Hoilett gets past Sagna and Szczesny claims easily.
Santos gets his first touch, and it's a pass back to his centre-back. Just like Gibbs usually does
Quick break from the Gunners already and Sagna gets free down the right. Good clearing header from Samba.
KICK-OFF: Blackburn get us underway.
The players are out on the pitch and we're almost ready to go...
Quite a few comments on my Twitter about Arshavin being better than Walcott this season - quite simply, I don't agree. But perhaps today is when he proves me wrong.
If you're watching from the States, then head over to ESPN2 and watch the game live.
Interesting to note that Arteta has played more times at Ewood Park this season (2) than at the Emirates so far this season.
One to watch is Robin Van Persie, who has scored eight goals in 10 Premier League games against Blackburn.
A good omen for the away side: Rovers have lost nine times in the Premier League at home to Arsenal, more than against any other opponent on their own patch.
Rochina and Formica have shown some skills early on this season and Dann is a solid presence at the back. All eyes on Samba for Blackburn though, as he was a one-time target for the Gunners.
So Andre Santos gets his first start at LB for the Gunners, and Arshavin is favoured over Walcott.
Subs: Bunn, Olsson, Grella, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Roberts, Hanley.
Blackburn: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Dann, Givet, Hoilett, Lowe, Nzonzi, Rochina, Formica, Yakubu.
Subs: Walcott, Fabianski, Djourou, Gibbs, Chamakh, Benayoun, Coquelin
Some Arsenal team news: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Santos, Song, Arshavin, Arteta, Ramsey, Gervinho, Van Persie
