FULL TIME A win that takes Bolton out of the drop zone, and it was fully deserved too. Liverpool was more than lacklustre and there will be serious questions asked of their defending. But take nothing away from Bolton - they were excellent, and they move out of the relegation zone after only their second home win of the campaign.
Tuncay is coming on, replacing Eagles.
Two minutes added.
A big wrestling match between Wheater and Carroll, the crowd then burst into "what a waste of money".
Another chance for Eagles as he cuts inside and has a clear sight of the far corner but his bender is high and wide.
Ngog comes off to a rousing ovation after a good display, Kevin Davies replaces him. Good to see him back.
Downing's cross is blocked. He hasn't made much impact since coming on.
Carroll has had a poor second half, another lay off doesn't find its target and Gerrard looks more than a little irked.
Eagles nearly makes it four after a jinking run inside onto his left foot. The ball flicks Skrtel and drifts wide of the far post.
Gerrard fouls Petrov then tells the Bulgarian he's not very good (in a far less polite way than that).
Great play nfrom Petrov to nutmeg Johnson and streak clear, he finds Eagles and has Ngog in support but is caught in two minds and eventually fires a shot wide.
Ten minutes left to salvage something for Liverpool.
Now Gerrard gets the greedy bug when he had numbers with him. Far too much space in between Bolton's defence and midfield then.
Another good run from Bellamy but he gets greedy and shoots when he had Gerrard square, Carroll at the back post and Downing to his right.
A goal now for Liverpool would be interesting - Bolton's brittle confidence would be sorely tested.
Bellamy tries to find Kuyt but he is offside.
Liverpool are not happy with the referee - and they've every right to be at that last decision - but they have been masters of their own downfall today.
Oh dear Andy Carroll - a great ball from Gerrard, a cross from Downing and Carroll totally misses his kick. Gerrard follows in, is barged off the ball by Reo-Coker but Bolton get the free kick. Crazy decision.
Too cute from Bolton on the edge of the box, as they try and pick out an intricate pass but Eagles gets it all wrong.
That's more like it from Agger - a piledriver from 30 yards that skims the top of the bar.
What a terrible effort from Reo-Coker, it wasn't even close to the corner flag it was that bad - ten yards away from it. Throw in.
Another half chance for Carroll goes begging.
Bellamy gets down the left and crosses and Knight nods over his own bar to concede a corner.
Ngog tries a shot on the turn but doesn't catch it cleanly.
Liverpool changes: Adam and Maxi trudge off and Downing and Kuyt replace them.
.Nearly but not quite for Liverpool as Gerrard's cross causes a slice of panic but as Bolton break Enrique upends Eagles and gets the game's first yellow
Petrov's corner is cleared but Mark Davies, who has been excellent today, gets to the byline and wins another.
Fantastic cross from Steinsson, Ngog can't meet it but Johnson takes no chances by hooking it behind.
Bogdan claims the corner again.
Nice link up between Maxi and Gerrard but his cross is cleared, as is Adam's excellent return ball into the area. Wheater concedes a corner.
Ngog is playing well today - obivously has a point to prove to his former employers.
Bellamy takes one in the face from Wheater, and a little poke in the eye for good measure, as they battle for a ball. No malice intended and Bellamy doesn't cause much of a stink.
Desperate defending from Davies as Maxi and Bellamy swaps passes inside the area.
Carroll chases down a Henderson dink over the top but Knight nods it back to Bogdan.
So, Bolton's two-goal lead restored. Have Liverpool got enough about them to fight back?
Looks like it was OK, after four replays of the incident.
Suspicions that Petrov's corner had swung out of play as he delivered it. No decisive replay yet.
A thumping finish from Steinsson as Wheater wins a header at the back post and the Icelandic hammers into the bottom corner.
GOAL Steinsson volleys home!
Decent start from Bolton as Davies drives into the box and Petrov wins a corner off Henderson.
Nearly a mix up between Agger and Reina as the keeper came out and was almost undone by a backpass.
Good block from Steinsson as Adam charges forward after a Carroll lay off. He should have fed the ball to Maxi who was in support.
Reo-Coker made it 2-0 to Bolton

An excellent ball from Gerrard but not a great cross from Bellamy - Bolton clear.
Gerrard's header back to Reina in his own box nearly allows Reo-Coker to stab it past Reina. Brave goalkeeping.
Decent energy from Ricketts down the left but Henderson holds firm and prevents a corner.
Bellamy is flagged offside, wrongly, in his latest dash.
More dangerous direct running from Bellamy as he tries to take on Wheater. He makes space for a shot but rather dribbles it at Bogdan.
A big five minutes approaching for Bolton - they need to go in at the break leading.
A lively discussion between Bellamy and Reo-Coker, face-to-face verbals. Never quiet is he?
Searing pace from Bellamy - Zat Knight left trailing in his wake. Very cute finish as well.
A superb flick on from Carroll and Bellamy tears through the middle before a delicate dink over Bogdan. Liverpool back in it.
GOAL Bellamy pulls one back!
Another cracking pass from Carroll as he releases Bellamy - the ball stands up nicely for him but his volley is right at Bogdan.
Carroll tries to turn provider as his excellent cross finds Henderson but he can't bring it down and shoot before Wheater clears.
Enrique marauds down the left and crosses but Wheater cuts it out at the expense of a corner.
For both goals Liverpool's centre backs have neglected to get tight to midfield runners. Poor.
Woeful defending for both goals from Liverpool - they need to get somehting going and fast here.
A cracking goal but more terrible defending. Eagles picks up Ngog's lay-off, Skrtel backs off and he clips a ball to Reo-Coker who finishes from six yards. Well, well, well.
GOAL Reo-Coker makes it two!
Carroll's topuch nearly falls for Rodriguez as Adam turned in a cross. Zat Knight handled it but it wasn't intentional.
Carroll flicks on from a long ball - to no-one in particular. No-one getting beyond him.
Not much of an atmosphere in the Reebok - surprising as there are 5,000 Liverpool fans in attendance.
Ngog does well to win a corner after good work from Mark Davies, a player who is acquitting himself very well so far.
That was the sort of chance he snaffled in his sleep for Newcastle. Confidence is such a big part of a striker's game.
Gerrard finds Carroll with an excellent cross, the big man's header is saved by Bogdan but he was offside anyway.
Not much going forward from Liverpool and Bolton looking reasonably solid at the moment.
Steinsson's overhead flick nearly falls for Ngog but Reina is out smartly.
Space to shoot for Henderson 25 yards out, and a powerful strike but Bogdan right behind it.
Another disappointing ball from Petrov after he'd taken Johnson on down the left.
Then Carroll mistimes his jump as the ball comes down and looks more than a little foolish.
Nice move from Liverpool as Skrtel finds Gerrard, who plays it to Maxi, and his lay off to Bellamy is neat but the Welshman's shot is blocked.
Henderson again tries to cross for Carroll and Steinsson nods behind for a corner.
Liverpool still looking shaky at the back as Ngog fails with a flick to Muamba.
Reina's long punt falls to Maxi Rodriguez but his control of the bouncing ball is poor and he is penalised for handball.
Another terrible free kick delivery from Petrov. The first was too weak, the second too strong.
Bellamy again causes trouble - down the right this time - but his near post cross is collected by Bogdan.
A mess from Enrique nearly hands Bolton a second, he heads back towards his goal, gives the ball away and Eagles trickles the ball right along the goalline but no-one can force it home.

A cracking start for Bolton and a much needed confidence boost.
Bellamy hits back with a run down the left and a good cross but Reo-Coker gets there first.
Well, what happened there? Davies picked up Eagles' touch and drives, unchallenged, into the area before finishing off the post. Lovely goal, woeful defending.
GOAL Mark Davies opens the scoring!
David Ngog is up front for Bolton of course, he scored 19 goals in his time at Liverpool.
Henderson sends a ball into the box for Carroll but Steinsson chests back to Bogdan.
As for Bolton, a win can lift them out of the drop zone after Wolves lost today. Things need to start happening for Owen Coyle's side espeially at home.
