Old Trafford, England
Referee: Lee Probert
The 'keeper dawdles over taking the free kick and the whistle goes. What a silly way to end a superb performance from Crawley. They gave United a right old scare and can be thoroughly proud of their efforts. With a bit of luck, they'd have snaffled a draw.
Last free kick for Crawley - they going to launch it.
Lovely ball into the box by Hunt and McFadzean wins the header 16 yards out but can't get it on target.
That was the chance. So unlucky for Crawley, who have been the better side this half. Hernandez finds Rooney who fires wide. One minute left.
They've hit the bar! The corner finds its way to Brodie who nods it back the way it came and Lindegaard dives as it evades him and cannons back off the bar!
A long throw goes into the box and Crawley win the corner as Mills swung at it.
Four minutes left for Crawley. All the big men up front now...
Bebe unwisely picks a fight with Mills after a tackle. Bad idea.
Awful tackle from Rooney on McFadzean. Pure frustration.
Tubbs brings the ball down well then Brodie goes flying and wants a penalty but O'Shea won the ball clean as a whistle.
Bebe is flagged offside as he nicks the ball off Kuipers and then misses an open goal.
Mills looks for the big man Brodie and he wins the header but Lindegaard is there.
Decent strike from Tubbs but he didn't get his head over it and the ball sails over the bar.
Brown is carded after handling the ball after slipping. Crawley free kick 35 yards out and central.
Ben Smith comes off and Simon Rusk is on.
Fketcher nearly one-two's his way into the area but Mills stays strong.
Oh dear... Howell slips on his big moment and balloons the ball over the bar.
About six players queue up to take the free kick. Its 30 yards out right of centre.
Tubbs wins a free kick from Smalling and Crawley can load the box.
Cook again has the beating of O'Shea but his cross is right at Lindegaard.
United are shrinking here, misplacing simple passes.
Fantastic stuff from Crawley! Matt Tubbs very nearly scores with an overhead kick! Cook beats O'Shea and crosses and as Brodie wins it, Tubbs' acrobatic effort is just a few yeards too high. Great heart from Town.
Smalling bursts clear and finds Rooney but his flick for Hernandez is cleared out by Mills.
First real chance for Crawley! David Hunt meets Brodie's cross on the volley with his left foot from 12 yards but he's shinned it well wide. Come on Crawley!
Lovely turn from Gibson but a poor pass for Hernandez.
Crawley make a change too. Jamie Cook is on for William Gibson.
Fabio is off the field getting some treatement and Fletcher will come on for him.
Torres thunders into Bebe but wins the ball.
Smith with a chance to cross but no white shirts in the vicinity and Lindegaard claims easily.
Decent ball in from Bebe with his left but a tad too strong for Rooney at the back post.
Hernandez runs into the right channel, squares to Gibson but it was too fast to hit first time so he takes a touch and loses the ball.
Obertan and Bebe should be playing for Crawley on this evidence.
McAllister comes off and Richard Brodie is on. The lad is a goalscorer, we are told. Let's see what he's got.
More ole's from Crawley after a six-pass move.
Rooney makes space and tried to curl one into the top corner but it was always going over the bar.
Bebe is tackled by Hunt. Hard to see any redeeming features in him tonight. Bebe, not Hunt.
Tubbs is whsitled for backing into O'Shea and as the ball dropped Bulman fired it wide on the half volley.
A cracking ball in from Fabio drops to Bebe but he misses his header and Mills tidies up.
Fabio tries an effort from 25 yards but Kuipers is right behind it.
Now Tubbs has a sniff of a one-on-one chance but his pace wasn't there and Smalling gets back in time.
Rafael goes off and Smalling comes on.
Yellow for Torres as he overran the ball. He should have given it to Tubbs but instead lost control and lunged into Rafael.
A great run from Tubbs but Brown tackles, then McAllister chips it in towrds Smith but O'Shea nods clear. Crawley belief growing.
Lovely football from Crawley as they knock it around on the edge of the box. Tubbs goes shoulder to shoulder with O'Shea and Town fans scream for a penalty but they were never going to get it.
A long throw falls to Smith on the box edge and his volley is blocked by O'Shea.
Good defending from Mills as Obertan is realeased by Rooney - the cross trickles along the six-yard line and Crawley's big centre-half hacks away.
When Crawley get the ball into the box United look less than comfortable. A good start from the non-league side.
We're off again...
Wayne Rooney is on for Anderson.
The skipper broke the deadlock.
HALF TIME A good half for Crawley, and I'm sure they'd have taken 1-0 after 45 minutes. They grew into it and looked good just before the break.
So nearly Tubbs is fed in by Smith but Fabio was alive to it.
Now Torres with space but he lingers a bit too long and then William Gibson's cross is cleared by Brown.
A great burst from Howell down the left and a good cross but Tubbs wasn't anticipating it as Brown missed it.
Hernandez mugs Hunt then drills a low ball across the area. Then Obertan meets Gibson's cross but McFadzean does enough to prevent him making clean contact.
McAllister nods on a long ball and Lindegaard comes out to get it with Tubbs sniffing around.
Fergie looks like he is amused by Steve Evans' touchline gestures.
A clear sight of goal for Gibson but a very weak shot is right at Kuipers.
Nice stepover from Obertan and a powerful shot but a good save from Kuipers.
Three crosses into their box are dealt with well by Crawley and they seem to have regained their footing in the match now.
Fabio crosses towards Hernandez but his effort is wide. Bizarrely, a corner is awarded.
Fabio is in the box again and wants a penalty as he goes down after a nudge from McFadzean - never in a million years.
It should be 2-0 as Fabio races on to Gibson's pass and only has the keeper to beat but his flick with the outside of the boot is two yards wide.
Neat football from Crawley as Hunt gets a crossing opportunity. Two in the box but O'Shea clears.
Essential that Crawley don't concede again before half time. 2-0 would really knock the stuffing out of them.
Now we'll see what Crawley are made of. They could easily sink now they've gone behind. Brown's first goal for two-and-a-half years, and he's skipper for the day too.
Gibson's ball in was wicked, Brown got up to meet it and flicked it into the corner of the net. A shame for Town.
GOAL Brown puts United in front!
Superb ball from Gibson and Hernandez is through but why the Mexican took a touch instead of shooting I don't know. McFadzean gets back to tackle.
Two good balls into the box and Hunt is forced to concede another corner. Crawley's defensive shape is good.
Obertan wins a corner as United break from their own box.
Hunt is on long throw duty.
This is great from Crawley - knocking the ball around competently. They have a throw on the left near the box.
An effort on target! Bulman's header is weak but still, they threatened United's goal!
Brown turns Tubbs inside out not once, not twice but thrice.
Bebe's cross is headed clear by McFadzean and every Crawley touch is being ole'd by their fans now.
Two good balls into the box are cleared by United. Crawley looking to make the most of dead ball situations, of course.
I'm sure Crawley's gaffer Steve Evans told his men to keep it tight for 20 minutes. They are nearly there.
A lunge from William Gibson on Carrick is penalised by the referee. Thankfully there was no booking.
An awful ball from Gibson as Mills dived in. Crawley players going to ground a bit too quickly so far. Eager to make an impact.
Hunt does well as Obertan tries to run at him again.
Bebe turns the ball round the corner for Hernandez but he is offside by a yard.
Hernandez goes down after a tussle with McFadzean. The defender just blocked him as he went for a long ball. Should have been a foul.
An overhit ball from McFadzean. Nowhere near Tubbs.
At the other end Hernandez gets into the box and crosses but it is blocked by Howell. Corner.
What an effort by Smith! A dipping volley from 30 yards that drops over Lindegaard and only a whisker over the bar.
Obertan again looks lively down the left but his ball into the box is cleared by Mills. His family brought him here for a stadium tour as a birthday present a few years back!
McFadzean does well to get across and tackle Obertan as he sped down the right. The longer the game stays at 0-0 the more Crawley's confidence will grow..
Crawley's fans belt out que sera sera, "we're going to Wembley, que sera, sera...."
Hernandez is flagged offside.
Decent start for Crawley. Not much possession but not too much danger in their box.
Bebe beats his man and crosses but Crawley clear.
Great ball from Obertan right across the six-yard line. It was crying out for a tap in but no red shirt was near.
At the other end Hernandez wins a corner as his cross is nodded behind by Mills.
An early chance for Crawley as McAllister gets the ball into the box and Gibson climbs but Fabio clears.
The teams are in the tunnel. The Crawley lads trying to rein in their emotions as they walk out into a full house.
Town will be backed by 9,000 fans too - quite a healthy number for a non-league team. That's four times their average home gate.
What a day for these lads. Surely the biggest in their careers, past, present or future.
Crawley: Kuipers, McFadzean, Mills, Howell, Torres, Hunt, Gibson, Smith, Bulma, Tubbs, McAllister. Subs: Shearer, Rents, Wilson, Napper, Rusk, Brodie and Cook.
Ten changes for Manchester United, a bit of shame on Crawley's big day. Surely they wanted to face the likes of Giggs, Scholes, Rooney et al rather than Gibson, Obertan and Bebe?
Man Utd: Lindegaard, Rafael, O'Shea, Brown, Fabio, Gibson, Carrick, Anderson, Bebe, Hernandez, Obertan. Subs: Rooney, Smalling, Fletcher, Kuszczak, King, Pogba, Tunnicliffe.
We've already had a shock today as Everton knocked holders Chelsea out on penalties. Read all about it here.
