Real 2-0 Milan. A performance of consumate professionalism contained some imperious displays, notably from Cristiano Ronaldo who was a menace throughout. They brushed aside a Milan side who have been flying high domestically and on that display must be considered real challengers for a first Champions League triumph in nine years. Thanks for joining us folks and look out for our live commentary on a Rooney-less United taking on Bursaspor on Wednesday.
It's all over...
Amelia holds onto Ronaldo's rasping drive from about 25 yards out.
Just three goals conceded in ten games this season for Real, impressive!
Robinho skips past Arbeloa but Alonso stands him up and wins the ball back.
This has been a real cruise for Madrid.
Three minutes of stoppage time to play.

Antonini fouled as he goes through the back of Arbeloa.
Inzaghi's 80th Champions League game, but can he engineer a breakthrough.
Milan sub: Inzaghi on for Pato.
Somehow it doesn't end up in the net. It deflected off Khedira and it seemed Pepe must put it in, but he couldn't turn in the rebound.
Milan players being urged back by the referee. Ronaldo lines up.
Another free-kick as Boateng cynically takes Ozil out right on the edge of the box.
Alonso whips it in, but the ball is cleared away.
Ozil delivered but Boateng does well to head out for a corner ahead of Higuain.
Bonera booked for bringing down Higuain as he advanced inside from the right wing.
Boos galore for the temperamental former Real player.
Milan sub: Robinho on for Ronaldinho.
Marcelo again the creator with a fleet-footed run into the area. He passed it to Ronaldo who blazed it well over. Great chance squandered.
Ronaldo sprinted past Nesta like he wasn't even there and then played in Di Maria who in turn looked for Higuain. Corner to Real.
Come on Cristiano, man up!
Ronaldo is on the floor for at least the seventh time in the game. The ball is kicked off but he's back up again. It was just the tiniest of touches on his back by Boateng.
Di Maria - who has been Real's best player in the second half - threads a through-ball to Higuain. But his shot is struck feebly into Amelia's hands.

No, straight into the wall. Seedorf and Zlatan actually stayed together this time.

Boateng penalised for a high foot, rather unfairly it would seem.
Sign of attacking intent at least from Allegri but the delivery is poor from the corner.
Milan sub: Boateng on for Gattuso.
AC Milan with a corner now.
It was great work by Di Maria to turn Antonini inside out with a twinkle-toed run.
Di Maria crosses towards Higuain again and it's just a little too firm with the striker closing in at the back post.
Ronaldo very much pulling the strings for Real and Ozil's influence is growing too.
Milan haven't seen too much of the ball in the opening exchanges in the second half.
The ball fizzed across the box to Di Maria but he can't divert it goalwards with an audacious back heel.
Ozil battled to win it back from Antonini, before passing it to Di Maria, who crossed in to Higuain. But the Argentina striker headed it straight into Amelia's grateful grasp.
Higuain should have scored!
Alonso lays the ball off to Ronaldo who is absolutely laid out by Ronaldinho as he tries to shoot. No free-kick though, the ref is up to his old tricks.
Wow, the referee really appears to be on his countryman's side now. another free-kick awarded for a foul on Ronaldo by Gattuso.
Still Real retain the ball, but it's back to Casillas now. He waits for some options and then looks a touch bemused when he is forced to hoof it long.
Khedira, Ozil and Alonso passing in a pleasant little triangle before the ball is spread wide to Marcelo.
Pato tries to bring Milan forward but he seems determined to do it all by himself and gives the ball away as he is surrounded by white shirts.
Great bit of possession from Real, it's been a joy to watch their movement at times.
Finally the ref gives a decision Ronaldo's way, penalising Gattuso for a firm challenge on the Portuguese.
Sorry about the little delay, the Real players really took their time getting back out on the pitch.
Right then, we're back at the Bernabeu for the second half...
Real 2-0 Milan. A deserved lead for Real as they have shown the most danger and intent going forward. Two goals in 65 seconds was a little cruel for Milan and they have got an uphill task ahead of them. The Rossoneri did come into the game more after the second goal went in, but Pirlo and Ronaldinho need more of the ball. Grab a cuppa and we will see you in 15 minutes.
First-half over and it's been an entertaining opening.
Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates opening the scoring for Real.
The referee falls over much to the amusement of the Bernabeu faithful.
Ronaldo and Ozil combine well and the Germany playmaker's left-foot shot is well-saved by Amelia.

Corner headed clear by Nesta.
Lovely break again by Real, they're coming back into the match now. Ozil slid in Higuain through the middle but Nesta did well to tackle back and divert it out for a corner.

It was heading in but Casillas palmed Pirlo's fierce attempt onto the crossbar.
Fantastic save by Casillas!
Free-kick to be swung in by Pato.
Tidy bit of interplay between Ibrahimovic and Ronaldinho and the ball comes to Zambrotta, who is fouled on the right wing.
Stats: Real beat AC Milan 3-2 in the final of 1958 to seal their third European Cup on the bounce. But Milan have the tournament's greatest ever striker, with Filippo Inzaghi top of the scorer's table with 68 goals in 111 games.
Reallly poor communication between Zambrotta and Pato down the right. Ronaldinho played a good ball into the corner, but both players left it for the other, leaving Marcelo to emerge with the ball.

GOAL Ozil, amazing.
Real 1-0 Milan. Well, I lie slightly because the free-kick didn;t dip. Ronaldo has just hit it straight through the wall, Seedorf moved to create a gap.
GOAL YES he can!
Central position and it is Ronaldo, of course, who will take it. Can he get it to dip quickly enough?

It breaks to Di Maria and he looks to swing in a cross but it's too long for Higuain.
In a carbon copy of a minute ago he is bounding down the left again. This time it's a corner.
Ronaldo accelerates down the left and cuts inside looking for a foul. The referee was not impressed and tolf the Portuguese forward to pick himself up.
Already there's a pitch invasion but the Bernabeu security do a sterling job of bringing him down and we are back up and running.
An early touch for Seedorf who tries to release Pato down the left, but it's overhit by the Dutchman, playing against the side he won the Champions League with.
And we're off...
We're just about ready now and the anticipation is palpable.
Real are top of La Liga and have two wins from two in the Champions League - it appears that Mourinho is working his magic, but this is his biggest test so far.
One player to look out for is Milan goalkeeper Amelia, who is making his Rossoneri debut, having moved from Genoa over the summer.
Just a breathtaking array of talent on show and I can't wait. There has never been a 0-0 draw between these sides - fingers crossed that record will continue tonight!
These sides also met in the group stage last year when Milan triumphed 3-2 at the Bernabeu, with Pato grabbing a late winner. The Brazil striker scored two that night and he also scored two at the weekend as AC Milan beat Chievo.
