Referee: Mike Dean
Wigan look destined for the Championship after two heavy, heavy defeats. Two games played, ten goals conceded, no goals scored. Oh dear...
Can anyone stop Chelsea this season? It may be early days, but they already look unstoppable.
FULL TIME Chelsea make an unbelievable start to the Premier League season. So do Wigan, for all the wrong reasons...
GOAL Yossi Benayoun scores his first goal for Chelsea! Six points, and two six nil wins in their first two games. Paulo Ferreira gets in behind the defence, he pulls back to Benayoun who slots home. Too easy.
Kalou is desperately trying to score a third! He bursts away from Alcaraz, however the angle is too tight for the Ivorian and Kirkland makes a save.
THREE MINUTES ADDED TIME
GOAL Kalou has his second now! Drogba floats in an absolutely glorious cross after a pull back from Cole. Kalou ran across his marker and flicked the ball beyond Kirkland.
Salomon Kalou looked to be running through for a second, until Emmerson Boyce make a fantastic last-ditch tackle.
It may be very early in the season, but it already looks like being a long, hard slog for Wigan. They've been taken apart by two teams, at home, in their first two games.
We approach the final whistle, and there has yet to be a single corner. Could this be a Premier League first?
Figueroa looks in some discomfort as he is carried off. For Wigan, it never rains, it pours...
Emmerson Boyce on for Maynor Figueroa
The stretcher is on and it's not looking good for Figueroa.
Comedy defending from Alcaraz and Figueroa. They conspire to allow Drogba past them both, luckily for Wigan Kirkland reacts well to clear. Unluckily for Figueroa the goalkeeper takes out the Honduran and he is down looking hurt.
MacArthur on for Diame
Ben Watson on for James McCarthy
Yossi Benayoun on for Micheal Essien
GOAL Kalou makes it four! Fantastic play by Drogba! With his back to goal he easily slips past Alcaraz and streaks clear of the defence. Through on goal with Kalou to his left, he passes to his compatriot for a simple finish.
Wigan look like they'd rather be anywhere else. Even when they're in possession they look like they don't want it. It could be a long season for the latics.
N'Zogbia with some neat foot work to take him past Ashley Cole. His left foot shot is a decent one, but he's unable to bend it inside the far post.
Drogba in again and Wigan are waiting for the full-time whistle now. He is under no pressure as he dances to the byline. His effort from the tight angle is eventually gathered by Kirkland.
Chelsea with a shot on target for the first time in a while. Essien links accidentally with Kalou before firing low at Kirkland. Drogba then literally walks into the box and wastes an excellent chance by dragging his shot wide.
Salomon Kalou on for Florent Malouda
Drogba tries to go under the wall, Wigan are wise to it and the shot is blocked.
Drogba is standing over a free kick 30 yards from goal. Can he find the net?
The free kick comes to nothing. This game is fizzling out somewhat.
Highly irresponsible play from Terry. His team comfortably ahead, and he risks a red card. Free kick Wigan for another Terry foul on N'Zogbia.
John Terry is a lucky, lucky boy! Having been booked moments before, Terry launches into N'Zogbia.
The challenge was high, reckless and dangerous. How he escaped a yellow card is unknown to me.
Boselli has another go! N'Zogbia manages to find Boselli with a cross from the left, his header is straight at Cech. Wigan showing slightly more spirit now.
Paulo Ferreira on for Branislav Ivanovic
Wigan have the ball in the net! However the flag is raised! McCarthy's low shot is defelected onto the post, Boselli taps the ball in with Cech stranded, however the Argentine is offside.
John Terry carded for Chelsea. He is not happy about it.
Diame becomes the first Wigan player in the book.
Wigan look positive for the first time in the half. First, McCarthy bursts through and plays N'Zogbia in. Alex blocks excellently before Rodallega breaks through 3 or 4 defenders before being crowded out.
Wigan look well and truly beaten. Chelsea can look to next week now and rotate their squad.
Can Chelsea eclipse their goal tally of last week? You wouldn't bet against it now.
Wigan well and truly blown away at the start of the second half. Chelsea are home and dry now surely.
GOAL Anelka with another! Malouda is free behind Stam and finds Drogba with his cross to the far post. Drogba turns the ball back for Anelka to nod home his second from a yard out. Game over.
Wigan look to respond immediately and Rodallega unleashes a long range effort. It's awful and barely stays inside the ground.
GOAL Anelka doubles Chelsea's lead! Mikel picks up the ball in his own half. He sprays a fantastic ball over the top to Anelka. The Frenchman is through on goal at a slight angle and fires the ball low past Kirkland. An excellent finish.
Wigan immediately on the attack as Rodallega streaked away down the left. After cutting inside he attempts to weave past Alex, however the Brazilian is too good and ushers the Colombian off the ball.
SECOND HALF Chelsea restart the game.
Chelsea got out of jail with that Malouda goal. Until that point they had looked disjointed and lacklustre, surely they press home their advantage after the break?
Roberto Martinez will have been so pleased with large parts of that first half. One mistake from N'Zogbia and they're behind. Can they do what no one has done since Gareth Bale for Spurs and score against Chelsea in the Premier League?
HALF TIME A bright start from Wigan, dampened by Chelsea's ruthless streak.
Boselli in behind the Chelsea defence, and the chance looks on. The flag goes up, but not before John Terry slides in and makes an excellent challenge.
ONE MINUTE ADDED TIME
Both sides seem content to get to half-time with this score. Can Martinez rally his troops during the break?
Rodallega shows great tenacity in chasing down Ivanovic. The Chelsea man eventually, rather theatrically, falls to grown and earns a free-kick.
Hendry Thomas has just needlessly hoofed the ball straight to Petr Cech when he had plenty of time in possession. Wigan looking more like the team of last weekend with every passing minute...
Wigan struggling to keep the ball now. The Chelsea goal has really deflated them. They'll be hoping they can get to half-time still one goal behind.
Martinez must be cursing his luck. Such a promising, positive start ruined by one lapse in concentration.
Chelsea looking calmer and more dangerous since the goal. Anelka fires in a cross low from the right, the ball almost reaches Drogba, until Alcaraz hoofs clear.
A positive response from Wigan. Ronnie Stam makes a surging run inside, his shot is poor though, and trickles through to Cech.
GOAL After such a sluggish start, it was inevitable. Chelsea take the lead. Ashley Cole is played in behind Thomas, his cross finds Lampard who flicks a shot at goal. Kirkland does well to save the shot, but can only divert the ball into the path of Florent Malouda. Harsh on Wigan.
No real chances created in the game so far, which will probably please Roberto Martinez.
A great one-two between N'Zogbia and Stam. The Dutchman's touch is too heavy though, and Terry clears.
Carlo Ancelotti will not be happy with his team's start here. Wigan look to have more desire than the Champions. Anelka is away again, and once again is offside.
Another long-range effort from Wigan, Rodallega having a pop after some lovely approach play. It was struck hard and true, and also straight at Petr Cech.
Chelsea look relatively secure, although they seem to lack urgency at the moment. Surely it's a matter of time before they come to life?
Neat play from N'Zogbia and McCarthy. N'Zogbia attempts two balls into the box, both are headed clear by Terry.
Rodallega shoots from nearly 40 yards out. It's a decent strike, but Cech isn't going to be troubled from that range.
Free kick for Wigan in a dangerous position. Anelka tripping Thomas, what can they do from here?
Drogba and Essien combine wonderfully to release Anelka, and the powerful striker is away. Fortunately for Wigan, the linesman's flag is raised.
A suicidal ball across the defence from Ivanovic forces Ashley Cole into an awkward diving header back towards Petr Cech. Rodallega charges towards goal, but Cech reacts quick enough to claim the ball.
Nervy times in the new-look Wigan back four. Alcaraz and Gohouri almost allowing Malouda onto the end of an Anelka cross.
Chelsea slowly upping the tempo. Their closing Wigan down quicker now and rushing the Latics into mistakes.
Ashley Cole pushes forward for the first time in the game. His cross is hooked clear by Alcaraz straight to Michael Essien, who lashes the ball over the bar from 30 yards.
Not a sniff for Didier Drogba so far. He's going to have to get himself involved fairly soon if he wants that record.
Malouda commits a clumsy foul and it's a Wigan free-kick in their own half. Chelsea haven't woken up.
Lampard and Malouda link up for the first time in the match. Some neat passing releases Anelka down the left, his driven cross is cleared by Gohouri.
Poor passing from Ivanovic, who looks shaky early doors. The ball falls to Figueroa who hammers the ball towards goal. Cech makes a reasonable save, great start by Wigan.
Coming up to the ten minute mark and Petr Cech has been the busier of the two keepers. Not many people would've predicted that.
Wigan looking energetic and full of running. Their bright start has really encouraged them.
Diame gets in behind Ivanovic again. His cross looks destined for Boselli's head, and only narrowly evades the Argentina striker who would've certainly scored. Chelsea looking slightly sluggish.
A positive start from Wigan. Martinez will be pleased with how his team have responded to last week's heavy defeat.
Stam and Kirkland get their wires crossed with Drogba in attendance. Eventually some neat passing sees Wigan safe.
A deep free-kick from Rodallega causes panic in the Chelsea ranks. Cech is unconvincing with his punch clear.
Lively play from Wigan! Maynor Figueroa gets behind Ivanovic, his cross is a smart one, Alex reacts well to head clear.
Wigan under pressure immediately and some loose passing results in a Chelsea throw. Wigan are going to have to be strong in possession today.
KICK OFF Wigan get us under way.
Hendry Thomas and Charles N'Zogbia start for the home team. For Chelsea, Branislav Ivanovic replaces Paulo Ferreira in defence.
After Wigan's kamikaze defending last week, you wouldn't bet against Drogba finding the net today. A positive result here would give the Latics a huge boost after last weekends humiliation against Blackpool.
Didier Drogba can make history tonight. Following a hat-trick on the last day of last season and a treble last weekend, Drogba could become the first player ever to score hat-tricks in three successive Premier League games.
Chelsea won 6-0 on the opening day, Wigan lost 4-0. Can Wigan spring a suprise and avoid another heaving defeat at the DW Stadium this evening?
Chelsea are flying high.
Join us at 17.15 BST for Chelsea's trip to Wigan. They scored a lot of goals last time out against West Brom and it could be a similar story.
