The Porto game has ended 1-0 and that means Chelsea are through to the knockout stages. The Portuguese side are too. Stay tuned for all the match reports and reaction to tonight's action. Man Utd finished 3-3 with CSKa Moscow by the way. See you next time.
Full time. Carlo Ancelotti looks disgusted as the whistle goes. The game burst into life after 66 minutes and it was a tale of two strikers as Drogba and Aguero both scored two. Porto are leading Apoel and if it stays like that the Blues are through.
The ball is teed up for Drogba but the wall had flown out and his shot was blocked about two yards from where he struck it.
Drogba is brought down on the edge of the box after tricking Assuncao and now he has a chance to win it.
Aguero swings in the free kick and though Cech got across he couldn't keep it out. A great strike and no more than Atletico deserve.
Cole gives away a free kick after bringing down Aguero and Atleti have a free kick in a good spot.
Drogba chases a Cole ball, beats two defenders and has his first effort saved but slots the rebound. What a superb solo goal. He's just a top, top striker.
Terry gets a booking for tripping Aguero. The striker fell over more than anything. Harsh.
Jurado is on for Simao but his cross is collected by Cech.
Man Utd pull one back through Scholes. They now trail CSKA 2-3.
That's knocked the stuffing out of the home crowd.
He's been their best player by a mile all night and now he has his reward. Malouda's cross comes in, he leaps high and plants a header into the bottom corner.
Malouda wastes a good chance after Diogba played him in. His touch was heavy and Ibanez got across to clear behind.
Cole bumps into Aguero and gives away a free kick.
Lampard heads the free kick clear before Rodriguez tries an 'Aguero' and gets it all wrong.
Belletti slips into Perea and Atletico have a free kick on the left touchline.
Deco's dropped the Ashes. Drogba's cross is palmed into his path by Asenjo but his volley is poor and it goes two yards wide.
Ballack smashes a simple pass out of play to sum up Chelsea's malaise.
Aguero nearly made it two. Rodriguez swings in the cross and the striker can't get a connection on it as he slid in.
A good Chelsea chance goes begging as Lampard sticks a ball over the top but Drogba lashes his shot high and wide.
Atleti change: Maxi Rodriguez is coming on for Reyes, who has had a half decent game.
Anelka is coming on for the disappointing Kalou and Joe Cole is coming off for Deco.
So, both the English teams are losing. That doesn't happen often does it?
Wow. What an unstoppable strike that was. The ball was travelling when it came to him but he returned it with ferocious power across Cech. The crowd have gone nuts.
What a strike! A cross landed at his feet on the right side of the penalty area and he's lashed it into the top corner at lightning speed. What a goal.
Drogba is flagged for a foul on Ibanez before he flashes a shot wide. This is dull.
Reyes gets his shot over the wall and Cech does well to gather it on the bounce.
It's to the right side of the penalty area bout 25 yards out. Simao looking like he fancies it.
Now Aguero gets a free kick after Terry came through him to pinch the ball. Free kick.
Drogba gets a bump on his thigh. Looks like a dead leg. They can be nasty, mind.
Alex is penalised this time for a foul on Forlan. A chance for good delivery into the box here.
Ballack is on for Essien.
Forlan slams a wonderful crossfield pass to Perea but his cross is awful. Pitiful. Pathetic.
Forlan crosses looking for Aguero but Terry intercepts.
Aguero stumbles in the area under a nudge from Alex but he was never getting a penlty.
This game badly needs a goal. Lampard just punted a free kick practically out of touch.
Let's hope Aguero give Atletico the spark they have been lacking up top..
Sinima-Pongolle departs, Aguero comes on in his place.
Kalou wastes a great chunk of possession in the final third as Cole and Drogba queued up for a through ball.
Drogba took the free kick and Asenjo spilled it onto the post. He should have turned that behind easily.
Drogba does his dying swan routine after a minimal clip.
CSKA Moscow are now 3-1 up at Old Trafford. Vasili Berezutsky.
We begin again....
That's half time. A 45 minutes that threatened to burst to life but rarely did. We need a goal, hopefully as soon as the second half starts. See you in 15.
Lampard fires in a rocket of a shot as Chelsea hared downfield on the counter attack but it flies just wide of the far post.
Atletico win a corner as Drogba gets up to flick Reyes' cross behind.
Kalou is a yard offside as Lamaprd looks for him. Ancelotti mutters expletives to himself on the sidelines.
Poor ball from Drogba as Cole looked to streak down the right flank.
Reyes tries the same ball inside Cole but Malouda had tracked the run. Then Santana hammers a shot that nearly clears the vast net behind the goal.
Simao's corner is poor and Lampard heads away at the near post.
Forlan gets onto the end of Simao's pass and Alex is across to concede the corner.
Reyes slips a lovely ball inside Ashley Cole for Perea but the defender had strayed offside.
Reyes is a busy boy. Now he gets a stray arm in the face from Malouda. In fairness, he stayed on his feet.
What this game needs is a goal. And fast.
Back in Madrid Assuncao gets a card after jumping into Ashley Cole. Looked like he led with his arm. He's banned for the next game against APOEL.
Scrap that, CSKA are leading Man Utd again! Milos Krasic with it!
Goals starting to flow in the Champions League now, Michael Owen has made it 1-1 at Old Trafford and Benzema has put Real Madrid 1-0 up at the San Siro against AC Milan.
Now Drogba is flagged offside as Malouda tries a little dink over the top.
Simao cuts in from the left and fires in a shot but it is high, wide and wild.
Forlan and Sinima-Pongolle play a one-two and the former Liverpool forward scampers toward goal but the flag was up.
CSKA are one up at Old Trafford. Alan Dzagoev with a beauty.
Reyes lunges at Cole and gets a booking.
Malouda looks to swap passes inside the area but MAdrid are back in numbers.
Excellent tackle from Pablo on Kalou as the Chelsea man closed in on the penalty area.
Superb effort from Reyes as he cuts inside and curls one towards the top corner but Cech gets across and saves well.
Chelsea are in control of this game now but Atletico still look as though they could be lively on the counter.
Malouda wins a corner after Lampard's free kick was cleared. Before that Joe Cole jinked past Ibanez and was brought down.
Simao is closed down by Terry after good work from Forlan and Lampard mops it up.
Essien has another barge at a Madrid player and gets booked this time. Reyes went flying as he looked to counter and Essien has a deserved yellow.
Now Belletti gets into the right channel again but he's off balance as he tries to cross and Asenjo claims.
Great build-up play from Chelsea as Essien finds Belletti, he slips in Lampard but his cross is too high for Joe Cole. If it was along the deck he'd have had a tap in.
Kalou gives away a free kick near the corner flag after hacking at Lopez.
Assuncao and Essien barge into each other but Chelsea get the free kick. The Blues midfielder kept his feet while Assuncao went flying.
Perea hunts down Lamaprd before he can shoot after Madrid had given the ball away carelessly.
First decent attack from Chelsea as Malouda has a shot blocked, then Essien tees up Drogba but his effort arcs wide of goal.
Antonio Lopez puts in a cross from deep but Sinama-Pongolle can't get anything on his header.
Reyes beats the Coles, Ashley and Joe, before Terry comes across to stop him in his tracks.
Diego Forlan has a pop from 30 yards but Cech had it covered as it flashed two yards wide.
Drogba does well to get his header up and over the bar as the free kick is swung in but there was no-one near him. From the corner, Juanito nods wide.
Reyes buys a free kick off former Arsenal team-mate Ashley Cole.
Belletti does well to track Reyes' run as Simao looked to thread a ball through Chelsea's back line.
Aguero has a slight groin problem we are told, and that is why he is on the bench. No doubt Flores has one eye on the small matter of the Madrid derby on Saturday.
The teams are out to a mixed reception, and there are plenty of empty seats in the Vicente Calderon.
Chelsea, of course, are looking pretty tasty under Carlo Ancelotti, despite their defeats at Wigan and Aston Villa. They are two points clear at the top of the Premier League and aren't taking any chances this evening given their strong line-up.
Atletico really are in rotten form. They sit third bottom of La Liga, with just one win from nine gammes and a goal difference of -9. It looks like a thankless task for them tonight.
These two sides met two weeks ago, Chelsea winning 4-0 at Stamford Bridge, and that spelled the end for Abel Resino, who was sacked. Plenty of people turned the gig down but Quique Sanchez Flores agreed. He started with a defeat against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, though.
If Chelsea win tonight they are through, simple as that. They can also progress if Porto beat Apoel Nicosia. They've named a strong team though, and Didier Drogba returns after his ban. Anelka is on the bench.
So, Sergio Aguero is on the bench. Maybe that's because Atletico have little to no chance of qualifying from this group. They are rock bottom with one point from three games. They need a win to keep their faint hopes alive.
