Referee: Mike Dean
A good game, and probably a fair result, but West Ham will wonder what might have been if they hadn't conceded an unfair penalty. Stay with us for all the post match reaction. Thanks for your company.
It's all over, a deserved point for West Ham and Chelsea go four points clear of Manchester United at the top, West Ham avoid sinking to the bottom of the table.
Terry whacks a ball wide for Drogba but he misses it and that should be that.
Faubert gives Upton Park kittens by letting Cech's punt bounce, then nodding a poor header wide of Green who claims only at the second attempt.
Zhirkov brings down Parker. Upson and Tomkins head forward for the free kick, which is central and 50 yards from goal.
Three minutes added..
Great ball in from Diamanti and Franco gets the header on goal but Cech saves well, and the flag was up anyway.
Diamanti's theatrics buy him a free kick off Ivanovic as they tussle for a ball down the line. A chance to get it in the box.
Zhirkov collects a corner on the edge of the box and tries an ambitious half-volley but it was always rising. Probably still is...
Zhirkov gets the ball from Lampard and puts a good ball across the face of goal but Green's hand on it and Tomkins' follow up diverts the ball behind for a corner, which Green claims well.
Terry is carded for a chunky challenge on Faubert. Rightly so.
Scott Parker gets greedy when West Ham had a great break on and tries to dribble past Carvalho but he slips and overruns it. Franco and Diamanti were in support, and angry not to be utilised.
Carvalho barges into Franco as West Ham's corner came in. The most blatant foul you will ever see. Ref Mike Dean obviously didn't see it.
Terry came round the back and Lampard pulled it back but Upson had followed his run well and blocked it.
Ilunga brings down Drogba after the striker had got round him. A deserved free kick. Just outside the box, on the right touchline.
Great feet from Dimanti, who could easily have gone down as Ivanovic stuck out a leg, but his shot is blocked by Carvalho in the end.
Parker loses his balance as he gets into the left side of the area. Shame, because it was a decent run.
That is Cole's last piece of action, as he comes off, and finally, Yury Zhirkov gets his Premier League debut.
Joe Cole blazes a great chance over the bar. Ivanovic's cross is deflected into his path on the edge of the box but he was leaning back and sent the ball over the top by a mile.
Zola looks like he is thinking about changes, as he and Steve Clarke go deep into discussion.
Diamanti has a go on goal and Cech beats away his swerving effort, then as Ilunga keeps the ball alive, Noble fires well over when trying to side foot the ball into the far corner.
Drogba is penalised for a foul as we see yet another replay of the penalty decision. The linesman was side on to it, and really wasn't best placed to make the call.
Parker does very well to twist and turn out of trouble but Franco can't keep the ball when he gets it.
The game has gone scrappy now as West Ham come out of their shell a little.
As West Ham break, they find themselves three on three but Franco, criminally, strays offside as Collision looked for him.
The goal has energised Chelsea as you can imagine but his cross from the right is nodded clear by Upson.
Let's not forget that it shouldn't have been a penalty in the first place. Upson got a big chunk on the ball, but it bounced back off Sturridge's shin. That is what deceived that linesman.
Well, how strange was that? Mike Dean clearly felt like making an issue of it, not once but twice, and Lamaprd held his nerve, especially after his last spot kick was saved by Man City's Shay Given.
GOAL! West Ham 1-1 Chelsea. Lampard's just scored a hat-trick from the spot but only one of them counted. A ridiculous episode.
Lampard scores again but the ref makes him take it again!
No! It will be retaken for encroaching into the box!
GOAL! West Ham 1-1 Chelsea. Lampard makes no mistake.
The linesman has had a shocker there, Upson went in on Sturridge, won the ball, but it cannoned back of the Chelsea player. A big chance for Lampard.
PENALTY TO CHELSEA!
A good break from West Ham dies due to lack of numbers. Collison did well, Franco waited for a pass but couldn't find one and it broke down.
Now Dimanti is told to get up by Mike Dean after another ridiculous fall. The sort that prompts rugby players to call footballers soft. Get up, lad.
Collison rescues Tomkins after the defender gave the ball away cheaply.
Ballack goes down theatrically and doesn't get a free kick; he didn't need to do because it was a foul from Noble anyway. Then West Ham get a free kick second later.
Lampard's effort was scuffed and landed at Terry's feet but Franco hacked it clear.
Collison is penalised and then Noble is booked for kicking the ball away. Chelsea free kick, 40 yards from goal.
Mikel, Lampard and Parker collide in midfield but it is the Nigerian who comes off worse. He's back on his feet eventually.
Cech's hoof downfield finds Drogba who is wide and about five yards from the byline, but that doesn't stop him having a go, and what a go it was, dipping over Green but inches wide of the far post. Think Van Basten in Euro '88.
Ilunga does well to win a free kick off Ballack as he charged down the left.
The substitutes combine as Mikel finds Sturridge, but though his first touch is good, his second is a wild shot over the bar.
It's vital for West Ham that they don't concede in the early part of the first half, our commentators say. I'd argue it's pretty vital they don't concede at any stage of this second half.
We begin again. Two changes at half time for Chelsea, Mikel and Sturridge come on for Kalou and Malouda.
The wall block Lampard's effort but as it comes back in Green and Kalou bash into each other but Mike Dean says it was a coming together rather than a foul. It looked suspiciously like a foul to me. And that is half time. West Ham lead!
Parker gets a yellow card for sliding in on Ballack. He should have been carded earlier and if he had been, he'd be trudging off right now.
Diamanti leaps onto the advertising hoardings in celebration and is lucky to avoid a booking. Three added minutes at the end of the half.
GOAL West Ham 1-0 Chelsea. Diamanti sends Cech the wrong way and West Ham lead.
Collison gets into the box, Ashley Cole goes in from behind and the ref points to the spot. What a chance for the Hammers.
PENALTY TO WEST HAM!
Parker clumsily barges into Joe Cole but it looked like he got the ball first. It's taken quickly and Drogba is in the box but at a narrow angle, but he went for the near post when he should have gone across goal.
The crowd roar their approval as Noble charges in on Lampard. Then Ballack is penalised for a foul on Franco. A free-kick for West Ham, just into Chelsea's half.
Noble puts a decent ball across Chelsea's 18-yard box but Faubert hadn't cottoned on quick enough and the chance is lost.
A powerful effort from John Terry of all people, who has sauntered upfield. It was hit hard and true but right at Green.
Now Joe Cole shuns the run of Malouda and hits a half volley instead, but he shanks it well wide.
The Cole's combine but Joe's ball for Ashley's is a touch too heavy and the left back can't reach it before it goes behind for a goal kick.
Noble launches a run forward but the ball from Ilunga is poor and dribbles out of play.
Now Cole does well to skip past Faubert and get a cross in. Lampard meets it but drags his left footed effort well wide of the far post.
Mike Dean books Franco for a handball and he jumped for a high ball. He says it is for a few incidents but that is extremely harsh.
A huge scramble in the area after Parker released Ilunga in the area, his cross was back out to the edge of the box and in the ensuing melee Franco is flagged offside. Good break from the home side.
Another long ball pumped into Chelsea's box is dealt with, as is the follow up cross. Upson challenged for it but Carvalho held firm.
Lampard's pass is too strong for Ivanovic, who tries but fails to keep it in.
Cech comes for the corner and manages to get a decent fist on it. The Hammers will be cursing Carlton Cole's injury, so they can't lump balls into the box and test Cech's flappability.
Confusion in Chelsea's box as Terry nods clear a cross that Cech was about to claim. As West Ham rebuild Parker wins a corner.
Cole's pass looks for Drogba but Upson does well to stick a foot out and clear his lines.
From the corner, Parker clears Ivanovic's header off the line with his chest. He's redeemed himself. He kept his hands well clear of the ball, too.
Drogba feigns to put it in the box but his effort on goal hits the wall and goes behind for a corner.
Back in east London, Parker has had a wild swing at Drogba and is a very, very lucky man not to be booked for that.
England have held on for a draw in the cricket, to much relief in the office. Get onto to cricinfo.com for reaction.
Noble swings in a free kick but Franco is flagged offside and the chance is lost.
Gabbidon is in trouble, he's coming off and James Tomkins is on. What a shame for the big man.
Noble is flagged offside on a rare break upfield for West Ham.
Scrappy defending from the Hammers as Ivanovic gets into the area, his cross is cleared then Ballack fires a shot in over the bar.
An unbearably tenase finish in the cricket, if anyone cares. England v South Africa is down to the last over. Follow it with our friends on cricinfo.com if you are that way inclined...
Lampard wins a corner down the right side and Ivanovic's header loops over the crossbar.
Chelsea are ramping up the pressure now and West Ham are getting penned in. No clear cut chances yet though.
Faubert gets down the right and swings in a near post cross but it is straight into Cech's arms.
Carvalho upends Noble. West Ham free kick. As it breaks Parker looks for an intricate pass to Diamanti but Cech is out to claim.
A neat turn from Franco but Terry gets in the way of his effort on goal.
An early shooting chance for Lampard on the edge of the box but Green is equal to his powerful, swerving effort. Corner.
A light dusting of boo's for Joe Cole as he goes down the left.
An early change of shorts for Didier Drogba....
Noble looks for Franco and though Terry got a bit of the ball it looked a clumsy challenge. No foul given.
An ominous stat for West Ham. If they do end up bottom of the table at the end of the game, then they will be odds on to go down. West Brom are the only side to survive in Premier League history, having propped up the league at Christmas.
An early touch for Frank Lampard and an early round of booing from the Upton Park faithful.

After Manchester United's demise against Fulham yesterday, Chelsea can go six points clear at the top with a win today. If that happens, it also means West Ham will sink to the foot of the table.
