White Hart Lane, England
Referee: Mark Clattenburg
Arsene Wenger said before the game if Arsenal didn't win their title dream was over and it surely must be now. Spurs close the gap between them and Man City to one point. A cracking game.
Spurs have done it! Their first win over Arsenal in the league for a decade!
Bentley gets down the right, cuts inside Clichy and has a go and wins the corner. That could be that.
Campbell's long punt forward sees Walcott behind the defence but Gomes is there to meet it.
Bendtner wins a header but no-one can latch onto it. Spurs clear and Bale goes for the corner but Campbell nips in.
Tottenham playing entirely on the break now as they soak up this pressure.
Four minutes added...
Huge pressure from Arsenal as we move near to stoppage time...
Van Persie finds space and has a good strike on goal before Gomes gets across to save. Goal kick given, when it was a clear corner. Crouch on for Pavlyuchenko now.
Big chance for Modric as he streaks through the middle. Pavlyuchenko finds him but his touch is heavy and Almunia claims.
Spurs are starting to look tired now, and Van Persie has made a big difference.
Van Persie spreads the ball wide for Walcott and his cross is turned home by Bendtner. A big last five minutes in store..
Another incredible save from Gomes! He turns Campbell's bullet header onto the bar now. He's had a unbelievable fibve minute spell.
Another brilliant save from Gomes as Van Persie's hammers a shot at the top corner.
Great feet from Arsenal as Diaby turns Dawson before the defender brings him down. Yellow card and a free kick on the edge of the box.
Some less than convincing punches from Gomes before Van Persie's shot is deflected right into the 'keeper's arms.
Confusion from the corner too before Rosicky's deflected shot trickles wide of the post. Another corner.
What a save! Diaby floats a ball over the top and Van Persie controls on his chest and volleys at goal but Gomes makes a superb reflex stop.
Everyone behind the ball bar Pavlyuchenko for Spurs.
Things get ridiculously tight on the edge of the box and Arsenal are running out of time and ideas here.
A big cheer as Campbell is penalised for a foul on Pavlyuchenko.
Rosicky sums up Arsenal's night as his effort from 30 yards swings woefully wide. Wenger shakes his head on the bench.
Another lovely passage of play from Spurs, who look potent down the left with Bale and Assou-Ekotto. Only a good header from Silvestre ends the move.
Now Diaby knocks a ball out of play when looking for Clichy. The fight is draining from Arsenal now.
The back four have been superb tonight for Spurs.
They have had so much of the play but next to no clear cut chances.
The sun is setting on Arsenal's season here...
Van Persie is getting on the ball immediately but his pass for Rosicky is overhit. Before that Walcott had two shots blocked by Assou-Ekotto.
What a chance for Gudjohnsen! A sweeping move from Spurs as Pavlyuchenko changed play, Bale fed Assou-Ekotto whose cross found Gudjohnsen, 15 yards out but he misses his kick. Terrible.
Changes: Van Persie on for Denilson and for Spurs, Gudjohnsen on for Defoe.
Here comes RVP. Big ask for him to rescue anything in his first game back after five months.
Finally a chance for Arsenal as Walcott slides in Bendtner, he gets away from King but fires an angled drive wide of the far post.
The pressure is mounting on Spurs without creating anything of note.
Three great blocks in Arsenal's box as Defoe, Pavlyuchenko and Modric all have a pop.
Eboue crosses and though Silvestre was forward, the ball flies over his head.
Van Persie has been warming up for about 15 minutes now.
Great hunting from Spurs - they aren't giving Arsenal an inch here and as a result, the visitors keep trying increasingly ambitious passes without any success.
Walcott hasn't been quite on the money yet as he hits a pass right to Gomes.
Walcott is being closely monitored by both Bale and Assou-Ekotto.
Ledley King mops up well as Diaby looked for Walcott inside the area, then the winger is released by Denilson but Gomes is out to claim.
Great work from Huddlestone as he pressurieses the ball superbly. Tottenham are right up for this.
It's surely time for RVP as Walcott is crowded out by Bale and Assou-Ekotto.
More slack defending as Bale gets round the back but Pavlyuchenko can't get a shot away after collecting his cross.
Walcott's first involvement is a cross into the area before Eboue thrashes the loose ball over the bar from distance.
Arsenal change: Sagna off, Walcott on.
Bentley has a crack after Campbell tackled Bale and claims handball off Clichy but he was never getting it.
White Hart Lane is in full voice now. They can make a right old racket when they want.
Normal service has been resumed now as Arsenal sit camped in the final third but can't find the killer pass.
Defoe latches onto a long ball and shoots but Campbell gets a block on it. Arsenal caught napping at the start of the half. Those title dreams are slipping away...
A sublime ball from Defoe slices open the defence, Sagna is playing him on, and he finishes coolly past Almunia. A huge task for Arsenal now.
We're underway again and the hero of the first half, Danny Rose, has gone off to be replaced by David Bentley.
Sagna crosses low from the byline after Rosicky's run and pass but Dawson clears and there is the half time whistle. Good stuff, expect more of the same in 15 minutes.
More ping-pong style possession as Rosicky nearly gets away before Dawson slides in. A breathless first half.
A snapshot from Defoe but he hits it right at Almunia.
I think we'll definitely be seeing RVP in the second half.
Clichy nips past Kaboul and gets into the area but tries an effort from a narrow angle and can only find the side netting.
Huge chance for Spurs as Modric gets through but Almunia is out quick smart to save at his feet, before Campbell nods the loose ball clear.
A big five minutes coming up. Tottenham will be praying to get to the break ahead.
Eboue fouls Kaboul now. No cards on this occasion.
Chance for Spurs as Rose crosses and Kaboul ends up with the ball at his feet, but his stabbed cross is claimed by Alumnia.
Nasri goes for goal despite the free kick being 35 yards out and well left of centre. A poor effort.
Great Arsenal break as Rosicky latches onto Almunia's throw and gets past Kaboul. There wasn't much contact but Rosicky went across the defender before going to ground. Another yellow.
Now Rose turns Denilson and is brought down. Out comes the yellow card again.
Gomes punches clear from the edge of his six yard box.
Campbell nodded down to Rosicky and his shot is blocked by Ledley King. Corner.
Rosicky tries a cute ball into Eboue but Dawson gets a block, then Sagna is chopped down by Modric. A blatant foul and a yellow card.
Tottenham can't get hold of the ball for any long periods at present, though when they do they look a little more inventive than Arsenal.
A good break from Spurs as Pavlyuchenko looks for Defoe who was a yard offside.
Another move breaks down for Arsenal after good approach work. There's no cutting edge at the moment.
Clichy's run is brought to an end by a combination of Kaboul and Huddlestone.
Great work from Rosicky as he drifts in and finds Bendtner in some space just inside the area but he takes a poor touch then scuffs a shot wide.
Lovely work from Modric before a poor Defoe pass gifts Arsenal possession.
Nasri clips an ambitious ball wide for Bendtner and he can;t bring it down.
Eboue looks for Bendtner round the back but the Dane strayed offside.
A collision between Defoe and Clichy as they both challenge for an errant Pavlyuchenko pass.
Denilson spreads a ball wide for Sagna and from his cross Dawson nods behind for a corner.
Nasri plays in Eboue down the right side but he elects to shoot when Bendtner was in the middle and Assou-Ekotto gets the block in.
Casmpbell does well to deal with King's ball round the back for Pavlyuchenko. Tottenham will fancy their chances against these two now.
Silvestre is on and Arsenal now have a centre-back pairing whose combined age adds up to 67.
He nodded the ball to Campbell, then pulled up as if it was a hamstring pull. If so, that's probably his season over I reckon.
Silvestre immediately goes to warm up as Vermaelen gets treatment. It looks like his game is over.
Vermaelen pulls up after playing a pass, that was an odd one.
Arsenal have recovered now but Bendtner still looks very isolated when they break forward. Spurs working tirelessly to get the ball back.
Superb play by Rosicky until the finish, he skips past two players before trying a curler with the outside of his right boot but he gets it horribly wrong.
If Arsenal are to win now, they will have to do something that only Manchester United have managed this season: score more than once at the Lane.
After Arsenal controlled the first ten minutes Tottenham have sprung to life now. They are in control and no mistaking.
Bendtner gets his head to a Clichy cross but White Hart Lane is still reeling from a quite remarkable goal. Rose was off balance when he hit it, and it went right over Almunia's head, such was the power.
Incredible stuff! Almunia punches clear and Rose launches a left-foot volley into the roof of the net. What a strike!
Tim Cahill has put Everton 1-0 up at Aston Villa.
Bale skips round Sagna daintily and crosses before Kaboul puts it back in from the right. Pavlyuchenko meets it and looks certain to score before Vermaelen makes a crucial, and brilliant, challenge.
So nearly a good opening for Arsenal, Eboue dribbled into the area and tried to lay the ball off for Denilson but there wasn't enough pace on it and King clears.
Bale drives towards the edge of the box and goes down but referee Mark Clattenberg denies him a free kick.
Arsenal's passing and touch is a little off at the moment, before Denilson crashes in late on Pavlyuchenko and concedes a free kick.
A bit of a ding-dong as first Eboue goes down, then Rose charges in on Kaboul, before Diaby gets a block on King's attempted clearance and gives Spurs a goal kick.
Kaboul, in an unfamiliar right back role, launches a long ball out of play.
A scramble in the area as the ball hits Campbell's knee, beats Gomes but it's saved on the line by Assou-Ekotto. Nearly a dream start.
Sagna overlaps down the right and Bale concedes a corner from Nasri's pass.
Sol Campbell, predictably, receives a huge chorus of boos as he gets his first touch.
Here comes the teams to a tasty atmosphere, as you'd expect...
The stakes are also high for Tottenham. They are four points behind fourth placed Man City with this game in hand. With Chelsea, Manchester United and Man City still to play in a difficult run in, they need a win tonight.
Tonight is massive for the Gunners; they can close the gap to league leaders Chelsea to four points with a win tonight. If they don't emerge with three points, they are surely out of the title race. How will that mauling in Barcelona affect them?
So, Danny Rose gets the nod on the right of Tottenham's midfield - his first ever Premier League start - while Robin van Persie is on the bench after over four months out through injury.
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Campbell, Vermaelen, Clichy, Eboue, Diaby, Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner, Nasri. Subs: Fabianski, Eduardo, van Persie, Walcott, Silvestre, Merida, Eastmond.
