The stage is currently being constructed on the pitch, as Chelsea's coronation as Champions approaches.
John Terry says that it's been "three years of hurt" since Chelsea last won the Premier League, under Jose Mourinho in 2006.
Didier Drogba, the golden boot winner, is dancing in front of the fans with a blue and white Chelsea scarf wrapped around his head. He looks ridiculous but he doesn't care! Chelsea are jubilant.
The final whistle starts what will be a long night of celebrations in west London. Chelsea are Premier League Champions 2009-2010.
The champagne is flowing! Chelsea have won their fourth league title and their first under Carlo Ancelotti.
A fine finish from Cole and that's the end of a great day and a great season for Chelsea.
8-0 Chelsea! Ashley Cole puts the cherry on top this fine performance from Chelsea. Joe Cole made it brilliantly by battling with Boyce for the ball, he somehow manged to get a cross into the box and Ashley Cole volleys the ball in expertly.
N'Zogbia dances into the Chelsea box after Moses beats Terry to the ball but it's Joe Cole, of all people, who gets back and saves Chelsea with a great tackle.
Moses reminds Chelsea that the game, if not the title race, is not yet over with a great effort from 25 yards. His left footed shot is tipped over by an alert Cech.
With 5 minutes to go, Carlo Ancelotti has stood up from the Chelsea technical area to an ovation from the Chelsea fans. He has finally admitted then, that the Premier League is over.
Terry goes flying into a tackle full blooded and is lucky not to receive a yellow card.
N'Zogbia thinks he is through on goal, but he is offside. Cech saves his tame shot anyway.
Malouda shuffles into a bit of space in the box but fires over from 15 yards.
That was training ground stuff from Chelsea, who are not settling for 7!
Beletti's throughball to the lively Joe Cole is perfect, Joe Cole's shot was saved and Drogba was there to tap in to score the easiest goal he'll ever score.
GOAL! Drogba taps in to make it 7-0 Chelsea!
Anelka dinks a cross in from the left, Joe Cole flicks it on to Drogba, but the Ivorian seemed to be deceived by the spin on the ball as it bounces off him and goes out for a goal kick. Drogba will be disappointed he couldn't grab a hat-trick there.
Matic tries his luck, left footed, from long distance. He pulls it wide.
Drogba thought he was one-on-one to get his third but the ref pulls the game back for a free kick. Push by Drogba.
Diame, who was on a yellow card, is replaced.
Wigan sub: Scharner on for Diame.
Ancelotti is giving the youngster Matic a run-out. Why not?
Chelsea sub: Matic on for Ballack.
Four more goals and Chelsea will surpass Tottenham's 9 goal haul against Wigan. I wouldn't bet against it.
GOAL! 6-0 Chelsea! It's off the left hand post and in! Drogba didn't let Lampard near that one but Lampard doesn't seem to care, and the Ivorian makes it SIX.
Penalty to Chelsea! Ashley Cole is tripped in the box. DROGBA to take.
Chelsea will be Premier League champions in less than half an hour. On this performance it is unremittingly deserved.
Who needs defence when you can score as many goals as Chelsea can? They are unstoppable at the moment.
Drogba sees his fantastic overhead kick saved but the ball comes out to Lampard who puts it back in the box and Drogba picks himself up to power in a header from close range. Chelsea are rampant.
100 goals for Chelsea! It's 5-0 and it's Drogba!
And Drogba comes desperately close again! Joe Cole finds him and Drogba muscles out his man before turning and sending an instinctive right footed shot inches wide of the far post.
And Drogba should have made it 5! If he had controlled the long ball coming in he would have scored, with the goalkeeper committed.
A run out for Beletti and, in front of Fabio Capello, Joe Cole.
Chelsea sub: Beletti on for Ivanovic.
Chelsea sub: Joe Cole on for Kalou.
Chelsea are very close to that 100 goal milestone and, more importantly, the title.
Chelsea are cruising. Ivanovic floats a cross in from the right and an unmarked Anelka volleys it in. He actually mishit it but it found the target.
GOAL! 4-0 Chelsea! Anelka again!
Kalou picks up a yellow for taking off his shirt in celebration.
Yellow card: Kalou (Chelsea)
Lovely build up from Chelsea, Lampard picks it up after his overlapping run isn't tracked and he finds Kalou in the box who takes a touch and passes in from very close range.
GOAL! Chelsea 3-0! It's Kalou!
N'Zogbia is in the referee's book.
Yellow card: N'Zogbia (Wigan)
Malouda gets away with a handball appeal and feeds Kalou on the right who, like Drogba , is selfish and opts to beat his man rather than cross to the players in support.
Constant pressure so far from Chelsea. Joe Cole is warming up.
Drogba bursts forward again and rather than passing to one of the three players in support, he had his head down and went for goal. Poor play from Drogba.
Lampard nearly puts the ball in the back of the net from Drogba's cross on the left but Anelka is adjudged to be offside and interfering with play. He certainly was and that's the right decision.
Anyway, the second half is underway. Chelsea kick off, shooting from left to right.
We're close to kicking off the second half here. Just a little issue has come to my attention that Drogba had an argument with Lampard before the penalty with Drogba wanting to take it so he could get his 27th goal of the season and finish top scorer. Lampard, quite rightly, took it and scored.
I'm off for a half time cup of tea. Remember you can follow me, Michael Da Silva, on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/mjdasilva. See you in 15 minutes for the last second half of the Premier League season.
The 2 minutes injury time is up and Chelsea go in after a flawless first half. Chelsea have been untroubled in a half that has seen Wigan reduced to 10 men. It's the steepest of uphill challenges for Wigan now, while Chelsea look on course for another Premier League title.
Wigan clear the corner and that could be just about it for the half.
Chelsea counter through Kalou and Drogba and they win a corner.
Ballack using all his "experience" there.
Diame bursts through after Ballack was caught in possession and despite Ballack's best attempts to foul him, Diame stumbles and loses the ball.
Rodallega exchanges a neat one-two with N'Zogbia but Rodallega pushes Ivanovic in the back and that's a foul.
Yellow card: Gohouri (Wigan). Gohouri was penalised for that, despite Ballack getting away with an identical foul on N'Zogbia moments ago.
Kalou skips past a few challenges and has his sights on goal before he is dragged back. Chelsea free kick.
Wigan are keeping the ball but are going absolutely nowhere. They seem scared to attack at the moment.
Chelsea could be on course to score 100 goals this season. They are on 97 after Lampard's goal and are looking thoroughly dominant.
The title is surely going to Stamford Bridge now.
Brilliant penalty by Lampard - low and hard into the bottom left of the goal. Unstoppable.
GOAL! 2-0 Chelsea. Lampard scores fromt the spot.
Red Card! Caldwell is sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity.
Lampard is dragged to the ground in the box by Caldwell. Definite penalty.
Penalty to Chelsea!
Anelka puts a great low cross into the box and Ashley Cole tries to flick it in Joe Cole style but he failed to make contact. Great ball by Anelka from a difficult position.
Wigan manage to clear their lines.
The corner is headed out but Wigan are under the cosh here.
Drogba gallops forward like a greyhound and puts a ball into the box, which is headed out for a corner by Caldwell. Crucial interception by the Scot.
Chelsea finally enjoy some possession but Lampard uncharacteristically gives it away. Chelsea, despite being a goal up, are playing with nerves.
Caldwell pumps it forward in search of Rodallega, but even Usain Bolt wouldn't have reached that one. But encouraging possession for Wigan still.
Anelka is penalised for fouling Caldwell in the Wigan area.
Curiously, Wigan are controlling possession. They're not really doing too much with it but Ancelotti will be conscious that his side aren't dictating the pace of the game.
Wigan attack through Figueroa, who clips a ball to the far post looking for Rodallega. Ivanovic hooks it clear with an acrobatic overhead kick.
Possession so far is 57% to Wigan.
John Terry finds himself in the box and swings a leg at the ball but can't connect. He is penalised for a high foot anyway.
Drogba wins a free kick by holding his face and screaming like a girl. That's all it takes these days.
Kalou sprints down the Chelsea right and has a long time to pick the right cross and he picks the wrong one. He tried to pick out Drogba but he should have pulled back to Lampard. A waste.
Just looking at a replay of Anelka's goal, Malouda appeared to be marginally offside before he teed up Anelka. It was close but I think he was just off.
N'Zogbia picks the ball up on the right side of the box and tries a curler from 20 yards. But it's high and wide and the Chelsea fans were jeering that one all the way into the Shed End.
Anelka chips a ball in from the left looking for Drogba but he overhits it.
Chelsea have swamped Wigan in these early stages. The vistors are all over the place.
Anelka fires in from close range after Drogba's free kick hit the ball and was cushioned back into the box by Ballack, Malouda battled and set up Anelka who couldn't miss. Too easy, and the Premier League title has just taken a giant leap to Chelsea.
GOAL! 1-0 Chelsea! It's Anelka.
Kalou wins a free kick 25 yards out after a 50 yard run from his own half. Kalou was looking for that after running into a cul-de-sac but he was tripped.
Anelka dribbles his way through a few challenges before misplacing a pass to Lampard.
Chelsea are kicking from right to left, and Malouda is penalised after 35 seconds for backing into Boyce.
And Wigan kick us off at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are in all blue, while Wigan play in the same orange and black kit they wore when they lost 9-1 to Spurs.

We are moments away from kick off what could be the day of Chelsea's cornonation here at Stamford Bridge. This could be the day of beatification or unbridalled dejection for Chelsea. There will be nothing in between, and Man United are waiting in the wings should Chelsea slip up.
Chris Kirkland's finger injury means Vladimir Stojkovic continues in the Wigan goal, while defender Titus Bramble is out with a foot problem. Winger Charles N'Zogbia returns after recovering from an ankle injury. Moses is on the bench.
Chelsea name the same team that won at Liverpool for their title decider against Wigan. The Blues remain without Ricardo Carvalho, Jose Bosingwa, Michael Essien and John Mikel Obi, who will miss the FA Cup final after knee surgery.
Wigan XI: Pollitt, Gohouri, Caldwell, Boyce, Melchiot, Figueroa, Watson, N'Zogbia, McCarthy, Diame, Rodallega. Subs: Stojkovic, Scharner, Thomas, Moses, Cywka, Mostoe, Scotland
Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, A Cole, Terry, Alex, Lampard, Ballack, Malouda, Drogba, Kalou, Anelka. Subs: Hilario, Ferreira, Belletti, J Cole, Zhirkov, Matic, Sturridge
Here's the team news:
Hello ladies and gents, so it's the final day of the Premier League season. Chelsea host Wigan in the knowledge that a win will secure them the Premier League title.
