That's that! Arsenal rescue a point, but only just! A last gasp Gallas strike earns them a point, after a dubious penalty decision had put them behind. ALl in all, not a bad result, but not a great performance especially at the back. Until next time...
Asatiani is on for the injured Yussuf too. Three minutes added time, and Diakhate has been carded for some backchat.
Kiev change; Artem Kravets is coming on for the hapless Bangoura, who could have sewn the game up when he had a two-on-one break but chose to look like a twit instead.
Kiev try to hit back with Yussuf but Almunia is equal to his shot. Arsenal pushing for a winner!
The ball is spread wide, Walcott fires it in low and though Adebayor half hits it towards goal, Gallas finishes off from two yards at the back post!
Bangoura shows what a clown he is! He had a two on one break, and a simple ball would have released Akiev but he fluffed it!
Tidy footwork from Adebayor but he can't release any of his pals. The game is hugely stretched at present, as you'd expect. Walcott tries to cross but Nesmachnly gets in the way. Corner.
Denilson pumps the ball into the box, as Arsenal had men over, but his ball is poor and the whistle goes for offside too.
Adebayor rises high and claims a free header but Bugosh catches on his line. Arsenal's last change; Carlos Vela comes on for Van Persie.
Adebayor and then Van Persie lay-off to Denilson but his shot is deflected wide.
Vukojevic launches a horrendous challenge on Walcott and is booked. Walcott didn't like that at all. Free kick.
Adebayor sidesteps Nesmachnly and crosses but Diakhate knocks it back to his keeper from eight yards out on the chest. Very cool.
Bendtner slips Walcott in but though his touch inside the defender is good it just rolls out of play before he can reach it.
Another Arsenal change. Sagna makes way for Eboue.
Still goalless at Old Trafford. Tevez just had a shot cleared off the line though, and Ronaldo is on.
Adebayor wastes decent possession for Arsenal with plenty of men up in support. They've shrunk since the goal have Arsenal.
Kiev have grown in stature since the goal and Arsenal are ragged at the back. Toure makes a vital tackle on Betao, then Bangours picks it up, and shoots into the side netting. Imagine my surprise.
What an important challenge from Clichy! Aliev and Eremenko swap passes and if the left back hadn't intervened it may well have been 2-0. Brilliant defending.
Good block from Toure as the ball broke for the onrushing Vukojevic. Then the ball finds its way to Bangoura. Can anyone guess what he does? Yep, shoots miles wide from 30 yards.
Bangoura now gets booked for a shameless dive as he attacked Gallas. Well done ref.
Bangoura is giving it the big 'I am' now he's slotted a penalty. Calm down fella, anyone can do that.
Bendtner on, Song off.
The commentators are really rubbing it in now. "Dynamo Kiev were the only team not to get a SINGLE POINT in last year's competition." Oooohhhhh, I'm scared.
Looks like Nicklas Bendtner is coming on....
Walcott wins a corner, the keeper flaps at Van Persie's delivery and Arsenal have another.
It was a funny one, the pen award. One where both players have a hold of each other, but the attacker flings himself to the floor theatrically, clutching the defender's shirt, and the ref buys it.
Vukojevic, who won the pen, is rolling around on the floor. He'll be alright I'm sure.
Well, well, well. Its all gone a bit nuts in the stadium Kiev, or whatever its called.
A decent pen, coolly slotted sending Almunia the wrong way and in a blink of an eye the game has changed. Arsenal have 27 minutes to save themselves.
Vukojevic has thrown himself to the ground as a cross came in, but he had just as much a hold of Sagna's shirt as the other way round. Bangoura...
Penalty to Kiev! Sagna makes the foul!
By the way, a minute ago Bogush did well to keep his eye on a Fabregas shot that swerved after a deflection. I was watching the Celtic game at the time so I missed it. Apologies.
The game's first booking is for Nesmachnly after a nasty slide on Walcott, who is getting the full treatment tonight.
Denilson gets clattered from all angles but doesn't get a free-kick, but then Song upends Ninkovic from behind and the ref blows up.
Van Persie redeems himself somewhat with a devilish cross that Bogush has to punch away, practically off the forehead of Adebayor.
Van Persie hoiks another one well wide after Walcott had released him. There were bodies in the box as well if he'd chosen the right option, which was the cross.
Arsenal weren't happy with Kiev then, who built their attack with Walcott lying prostrate on the half-way line. He's back on now though.
Kiev hit the post! Eremenko turns outside Gallas and hits one right footed from an angle. The ball hits the post, bounces off Almunia and rolls across the goalline before the keeper is back up to claim. A chance.
Ninkovic charges in on Walcott, as does Eremenko. They've obviously seen the highlights from England's game with Croatia.
Fabregas nearly fashions a chance for the boy-wonder Walcott but his pass is poor.
We begin again...
Well, no stoppage time and that is the break. Arsenal wasting chances, Kiev trying to build pressure. See you in 15 minutes.
Arsenal carve Kiev open, Adebayor feigns to shoot but crosses to the back post, Van Persie squares it and Fabregas hits a left footer from ten yards out but fires it right at the keeper. Clear. Cut. Chance.
What a ball from Fabregas. That was one of his eye of a needle jobs. This time it came off but Walcott's pull back was scuffed and disappointing. Booo!
Yussuf then responds in kind with a poor shot that drags ever so slowly wide of the target.
Oooh! Red mist Van Persie meets a Sagna cross from 12 yards out but though his right foot effort is well hit, the direction is sadly lacking.
Sagna slides a cracking ball down the channel for Walcott but his cross can't find Adebayor and Diakhate clears.
Toure makes a lung-buster from back to front, and but for a slightly better ball from the still-raging Van Persie he may have got a sight of goal.
Van Persie gets wound up after Yussuf gets the better of him three times in a row and charges in with a very ugly challenge from behind. He doesn't even get a yellow when he could easily have seen red. Very lenient from our Spanish ref.
A bit of japery from Nesmachnly who careers into the box and chucks himself to the floor after the tiniest of nudges from Sagna. Tut tut.
Ha! Clichy sells Eremenko a dummy, cuts inside then hits a woeful drive with his right. It's like Ryan Giggs', only worse.
Arsenal hit back with a stretch of play of their own. No cutting edge as yet though....
A spell of pressure from Kiev has cranked up the noise in the stadium. Arsenal still look slick in possession but they ain't enjoying much of it at the minute.
Barry Robson has missed a penalty for Celtic against Aalborg, though the keeper was about three yards off his line when he took it.
Midefield scrappiness ensues....
What we need is a goal. Now, please.
A scrappy passage of play proceeds the corner, and eventually the ball ends up back in the arms of Bogush.
Now Arsenal break down the field and secure a corner of their own.
Now Betao wins a corner off Clichy for Kiev but Arsenal win a free-kick for a push or summat similar.
I bet Bangoura was a Billy-no-mates at school. He just tries to shoot at every opportunity regardless of distance or angle.
A nice break down the left involving Aliev and Nemachnly ends with the latter flashing a ball across the face. Where Bangoura was I don't know.
A fanciful effort from Bangoura, who did well to win the initial knockdown. He then shoots left-footed when off balance, and it doesn't end well.
A very poor delivery sets Arsenal away on the break but Betao nips their counter attack in the bud.
Aliev wins a free-kick for Kiev. If you say that out loud it rhymes. Anyway, 45 yards out, to the left of centre.
Adebayor has missed a sitter! Eremenko hands him the ball, 30 yards out, he races clear of the last man then blazes a shot well wide. Unbelievable.
Fabregas tries to thread a pass through the eye of a needle but it is intercepted by Yussuf.
Walcott to Adebayor, a trick, then a shot, then a block. That's it.
Eremenko gives away a foul after doing nothing more than running towards Clichy with intent. Poor decision.
This is better from the home side, running at Arsenal and getting crosses into the danger area. Toure and Gallas standing firm though.
Bangoura gets clattered by Song but doesn't get a free-kick, then as he lies on the ball Song pokes it out from under him and wins a free-kick for handball. The Kiev striker is not happy.
Not much from the Messiah that is Theo Walcott yet. In fact, he gave the ball away a minute ago. Boooo!
A bit of a lull in the game as Kiev try as best they can to close Arsenal down.
Van Persie wangs in a free-kick from the right but Betao, who is a giant of a lad, heads clear with Adebayor lurking.
The commentators seem intent on telling us how bad Kiev are. They've not won a Champions League game in four years apparently.
Bangoura wins a corner for the home side but Toure gets his bonce to it.
Fab Fab wins a free-kick on the right after a lusty challenge from Betao but Diakhate clears. I'm in for a fun night with all these nightmare Kiev surnames eh?
Some wonderfully neat touches from Arsenal already, with Fabregas pulling the strings. This will be 0-5 by half time I reckon.
But when they do Walcott slides a ball through to Van Persie who swings his right boot at it and forces Bogush into a decent save low down to his left. Corner.
The pitch looks decent, which will suit the slick nature of Arsenal's passing game. They can't get the ball at the minute mind...
One last stat for you: Dynamo Kiev haven't won any of their last 13 Champions League games. Oh Arsenal, beware.
Right, we're nearly ready for the off in our 17,000 seater arena - the Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium. That's because their usual home, the intimidating national stadium, is being rebuilt. And before you ask, yes I did copy and paste that off a popular search engine for fear of misspelling.
And Dynamo Kiev: Bogush, Betao, Diakhate, Mykhalyk, Nesmachniy, Vukojevic, Yussuf, Yeremenko, Aliev, Ninkovic and Bangoura. Subs from: Shovkovskiy, Ghioane, Morozyuk, Shatskikh, Kravets,
Olexander Romanchuk and Asatiani.
The teams are in. Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song Billong, Denilson, Van Persie and Adebayor. Subs from:
Fabianski, Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Djourou, Bendtner and Eboue.
As for Arsenal, they've been patchy. Woeful at Fulham, irresistible at Blackburn. But of course they have England's new saviour, the Messiah, the fella who is going to win us the World Cup don't they? Mr Theo Walcott. Until he has a bad game of course, then he'll just become yet another washed-up, WAG-obsessed scumbag. Such is the nature of being an English prodigy.
Dynamo Kiev's form has been predictably solid so far this season, they dumped Spartak Moscow out of this competition in the qualifying rounds, and have won five of their opening seven games in the Ukranian League. Enough to make Arsene Wenger's knees knock together I reckon.
Good evening and welcome to live coverage of Arsenal's Champions League clash with Ukranian titans Dynamo Kiev with me, Chris Murphy. The Gunners have lost on their last four visits to the former Soviet Union, so, can they break their Iron Curtain curse tonight?
Join us at 1945 BST to see if Arsenal can travel well to Ukraine in the Champions League.
