Referee: Frank De Bleeckere
Bordeaux must travel to Rome. This group is still very much alive. It's the only one. Join us to find out what happens in a fortnight.
And it is...Chelsea have to wait to qualify. A win over Cluj will do it but they would have hoped to get the job done tonight.
A last effort from Obertan goes wide. That will be that...
Gourcuff takes. It drifts round the back. Ball played back in. Ferreira can't clear and it bounces all over the show before it's cleared.
Corner to Bordeaux after Terry tries to be clever.
Time added on. Aimless shank by Ivanovic.
Gourcuff's pass is cleared to Drogba who barely breaks into stride before Bordeaux get it back. Chelsea hang on though.
Three minutes to be added on.
Cavenaghi has a shot on goal as he turns away from Chelsea's defence. Cech lets it go but it was perhaps closer than he realised.
Planus blazes over. The game is alive now. Chelsea hanging on here.
A rearguard effort required.
Oh dear, Chelsea. One of them was bound to go with both cards and tackles flying in. Lampard gets the first squeeze of the muscle rub.
Ball cleared to many cheers. Lampard commits a foul and is booked. The ref didn't notice that that was his second. Lampard trotted off innocently. The Bordeaux players let the ref know. And Lampard is finally off.
Joe Cole going off. Paulo Ferreira to come on.
Now that atmosphere is up and running again. Boos when Chelsea win a free-kick.
John Terry let him go. Bordeaux deserve that goal on balance of the whole game if not the period since Chelsea scored.
Gourcuff's ball in. Great cross. Lovely header from Alou Diarra who climbs above a static defence to score. 1-1!!!
More ref baiting. But cheers when Gourcuff wins a corner.
Gourcuff on the make. Vain appeals for a pass-back between Bosingwa and Cech. Maybe it was. But the referee's decision is final.
Obertan turns but is brought down. Nothing doing from the ref. Boos ring out.
Lampard has a go from range. Ball spilled and hacked away. It was there to be tapped in but Drogba was not at the races. Lampard gets a second bite but smashes wide. And off for a throw...
A massed Chelsea defence deal with a Bordeaux attack. Happy to sit back now. That goal changed everything
This is not going well for the French. They'll be fighting with Cluj over the dubious honour of the UEFA Cup. Big wow!
Drogba goes down like the proverbial. Off goes Wendel, on comes Obertan.
Diarra handballs. Silly. Pressure off Chelsea now.
Joe Cole's pass for Drogba is poor. Yet to get into this, the big man.
Gourcuff back on. He's the threat that may cause a twist in this game. Otherwise, this group is all but done.
Gourcuff is bleeding too. Bordeaux down to ten men as he receives treatment.
Gourcuff penalised for a handball as Les Girondins were making their way towards goal.
Chelsea clear. Ashley Cole wins a throw. And smiles as Gouffran spits the dummy. French frustration.
Bordeaux struggling for momentum.
Ref calms for calm and warns Cole. Jurietti is on a yellow too. Those two have not been getting on and could be taking an early bath if they're not careful.
Joe Cole is booked for drilling the ball into the net when the whistle was long gone. His look of innocence fails to convince the ref.
Chelsea look calmer and Bordeaux's efforts look spent.
Cech on safari. Beats one man and is very lucky that Gourcuff's shin deflected the ball off the pitch.
Free-kick chance for Chelsea. Lampard hammers a shot that had beaten the keeper but rose over the bar.
Anelka looks chuffed. He's on fire in the goal sense. Did naff all else, like.
On comes Drogba. Off comes Anelka. Job done.
Bordeaux must feel unlucky. They have a free-kick. Gourcuff cannot make instant amends.
But here it comes...Anelka is away. Lovely pass from Lampard and the Frenchman delayed and delayed to poke past Valverde. Chelsea's first shot and they have scored. 1-0!
Long hoof from Valverde finds Cech. Yes, it's that good.
Long ball from Terry to Ashley Cole. And here comes Drogba. They need him. They've been woeful.
This is edgy and not very entertaining.
Diawara, once of Charlton, is down injured.
Diarra climbs on Ballack. Chelsea free-kick comes to naught. 0-0 does beckon here.
Cole is fouled. And Jurietti is booked for an accumulation of fouls.
Chelsea attack broken up by determined defending. Long ball for Anelka who is a mile offside.
Anelka offside. How soon is Drogba?
Big Phil, big frown.
Gouffran skins Terry but the ball back does not match his earlier skill. Smashed away. Relief for Chelsea.
Malouda's ball curves in but Valverde gets to it.
Both back on. Anelka crowded out by five players. Diawara's ball is too long for Chamakh.
Joe Cole is hurt too. Both teams down to ten men.
Free-kick is too shallow from Lampard. Gourcuff on the burst. He's been the pick tonight. Gouffran injured after a foul from Mikel.
Diarra breaks up a Chelsea attack and is then fouled. The ref is still doing a James Galway impression.
John Terry fouled and then fouls. But free-kick to Chelsea.
Cech comes out to claim when the ball loops up off Ivanovic.
Back underway and an early Chelsea attack results in a Bordeaux free-kick.
Half-time: Chelsea yet to get a shot in. It's not been the flowing stuff they've played in under Scolari. Bordeaux have been up for this and had chances to get ahead.
Nice spread of passing. Gouffran smashes over. But he had space. Cech not called into action.
Ivanovic's ball to Ballack. Cross came in. Wendel headed away. Bosingwa tries to overlap and then attempts to win a foul. He loses.
Chalme fouled by Joe Cole.
But Bosingwa suddenly springs to life. Cuts inside on to a ball from Ivanovic. Just about cleared by Bordeaux.
This is no footballing spectacle, believe me. Bordeaux seeking to contain and Chelsea not at the races.
Chamakh fouled by Ashley Cole. Complaints but he can have none.
Some rousing singing from Bordeaux is matched by some fancy footwork from Gourcuff. Mikel stops him but that was a cameo of what a decent player he is.
Bordeaux not showing the vim and vigour of earlier in the half. Chelsea gaining a bit more control.
Joe Cole appeals for a foul. Not given but he had a case.
Bosingawa wins another. Malouda tries a flick round a defender that was never going to work.
Chelsea gain some respite with some passing. Ballack wins a throw at the edge of the Bordeaux box.
Long pass for Anelka. He can't get on to the pass.
Gourcuff to ping one in. Target was Diarra. He missed and Chelsea get it clear. Ballack fouled.
And attacking as one too. Fernando's cross headed behind by Terry.
Malouda and Lampard can't get through the gap. Massed defence. Bordeaux defending as a team.
Lampard tries to get Anelka away but his pass is blocked. Chelsea fans heard for the first time.
This has been a real effort pour Les Girondins. They may be tres fatigue later.
Bordeaux fluster Lampard before committing a foul.
Hopeless from the Brazilian where free-kicks are concerned.
Wendel's free-kick. Cleared away.
Chalme tackled and fouled. Ashley Cole called across and booked. John Terry tried to stop the booking. He needn't have bothered.
Anelka offside from a Joe Cole pass.
Wendel's free-kick is hopeless. Again. Everyday people could do better than that.
Lampard commits a foul from behind on Chamakh. And is booked. Rightly. You can't do that.
Gourcuff swivels in a manner that John Sergeant would covet and gets in a shot that is again palmed away by Cech. Lovely football all round.
No classic so far. That's for sure.
Lampard fouled by Jurietti. Bordeaux are up for this one.
Chalme's ball for Chamakh misses its target. The Morrocan is no Ronaldo either for pace it seems.
Ballack kicked and complains.
Chamakh is a bit of a deadringer for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Liverpool are a goal up at Anfield. Gerrard with that one. Roma now 2-0 up over Cluj.
That was deliberate from Terry and I'm afraid the commentators in the Uk refuse to admit he set out to tread on Gourcuff.
Tempers fray after a tackle by Terry on Gourcuff. The Frenchman angered by the foul as JT looked to have trodden on the on-loan Milan man's back. Both booked.
Lovely overlap from Chalme. Malouda all at sea and a fierce drive is strongarmed away by Cech. Best move of the match.
Joe Cole pushes Wendel over. Not as far as Tennessee but far enough for the ref to blow his whistle.
Ballack tried to get on the edge of a nice move. Bordeaux pump it away and Ballack looks as though he's taken a knock.
The singing is deafening. Larry White's Blue and White Army - or the French equivalent of - is belting out.
Diawara is tripped by Anelka. Poor play from the forward as that relieves the pressure.
Lampard is cool under pressure. Chelsea happy to keep the ball. Boos ringing out.
Then he's fouled by Joe Cole. Chelsea look leggy.
Wendel twists and turns but his effort does not lead to anything major.
Wendel fouls Ballack. Malouda down the left creates room to get in a cross. It's headed away. Best yet from Chelsea.
Roma are a goal ahead in Cluj. That takes them top of the group if scores stay the same.
Chalme fails to keep the ball in when Chamakh tries to release him.
Wendel takes. A shot that always had arrested development finds itself among the Ultras behind the goal.
Mikel fouls dangerman Gourcuff. Free-kick chance here for the French club.
Cech forced to hack away. Gourcuff was on the burst.
Anelka has to come deep. Not much movement from Chelsea. Poor lofted pass from Lampard is back with the French keeper.
Chamakh's ball was clipped towards Gouffran. Cech slides out to claim it.
Didn't work that time. Bordeaux are up for this though.
Patient play from Chelsea. Like in Rome they're trying to take the sting out of their opponents.
Gourcuff's corner comes in and then he gets a chance to create another chance. Cross is claimed by Cech.
Speculative effort from Fernando has to be forced behind by Cech.
Gourcuff takes on Terry and falls to the ground. No dice from the ref. Play on!
The French fans are in full voice at this compact ground. Been there myself actually, rather liked it.
Anelka was the target for a threaded pass but it rolls to Valverde.
Early shot from Gourcuff is blocked. Chelsea want to start brighter than at Roma.
So, we are off in the Gironde area of France. Some nice booze to be supped there. Though first thing is first and so the game gets underway.
Should they fail to fire there is always Super Bellion man to come in from the bench.
Laurent Blanc's side may well seek to contain though young star Chamakh could be the man for them. He and Gourcuff are two to watch.
Lampard and Terry are in and so is Michael Ballack, back to fitness in the absence of suspended Deco.
No Drogba for Chelsea initially - he's on the bench. But Anelka is in great form and will fancy a goal on home soil.
Can Chelsea overturn the horror show that was their defeat in Rome? Bordeaux look a softer touch on the evidence of the two teams' previous meeting at Stamford Bridge.
Join us at 1945 GMT to see Phil Scolari's Chelsea travel to France to take on Bordeaux.
