Stamford Bridge, England
Referee: Pieter Vink
It's all over and it was all too easy for Chelsea who strolled through the match without breaking sweat. The only time Bordeaux came into the match was when the Blues took their foot off the gas.
Anelka finally gets his goal with the last meaningful touch of the night. The whistle blows for full-time.
Belletti shoots from about a million miles out but Rame can only palm the shot onto the bar. It bounces back to Anelka, who rolls the ball into the net from about ten yards. GOAL!!!
Belletti with a cut-back from the right. Anelka races onto the pass and fires a low shot wide of the goal. He should have done better with that effort from the edge of the box.
Lampard takes the corner and Carvalho hits the woodwork with a free-header at the back post. That should have been the fourth goal that the fans were calling for.
Mikel uses his strength to shrug-off two players and set Anelka free of the defence. The France striker twists this way and that, ties himself in a knot and is lucky to win a corner.
The crowd are now chanting 'we want four' and if the Chelsea players feel like stepping it up again they may well deliver a fourth goal.
The goal will be Malouda's last contribution to the match as he is substituted.
That is more like it from Chelsea. A great move but Terry must take some credit for pushing forward and leading by example.
Lampard and Mikel produce some wonderful interplay and then the former backheels a pass to Malouda, who curls his shot past Rame and into the back of the net. GOAL!!!
John Terry surges forward to try and inject some vigour into Chelsea's attack.
Not a single shot on target from the visitors this evening.
Chelsea just strolling through these last ten minutes now. They have realised they don't need to chase about the pitch, just pack the defence and Bordeaux can't get through.
Cavenaghi is trying to inspire his team-mates with some twisting and turning runs at the Blues defence; but he always tries one trick too many and eventually loses the ball.
More possession for Bordeaux with Chelsea happy to let them have the ball in midfield.
J.Cole is the man coming off for Belletti, and he is not too happy about it.
In order to get his views onto the pitch Scolari is preparing to send on Belletti.
Scolari is gesturing from the sidelines that he wants his team to put their foot back on the gas.
Bordeaux's ball retention is much better but despite 20 or so passes they still can't break through the Chelsea defence.
Ballack is trying to play the clever little passes that Deco did when he was on the pitch but can't quite get it right at the moment.
The focus of this half is starting to drift since the changes. Chelsea have lost their clear dominance and Bordeaux have lost their bite.
Good attacking changes from Blanc.
Bordeaux make a double change. Off goes Chamakh and Gouffran and on come Argentina striker Cavenaghi and young forward Obertan.
Wendel finds a bit of space and hits a speculative long-range strike that dips at the last minute and draws a few gasps from the crowd as it drops onto the roof of the net.
Boswinga strolls down the right and flicks a pass through to Lampard, who spots the run of Anelka and plays a pass into the box. Anelka runs wide and fires a shot into the side netting.
Chelsea make a change. Deco goes off and is replaced by Ballack.
Malouda chinks one way and then the other but Juriette sticks with his man and eventually blocks the shot when it comes. Good determination from the defender.
J.Cole and Lampard break quickly for Chelsea. A one-two sends Cole free on the left of the area and the winger curls a shot wide of the far post.
Malouda puts Deco in trouble with a poor pass and the Portugal international fouls Diawara and gets booked.
Some great play from Bordeaux carves through Chelsea but when the ball falls to Garcouff on the edge of the box he attempts another pass rather than a shot.
Malouda breaks for the Blues and whips in low cross across the face of goal but none of his team-mates were quick enough to get up in support.
Chamakh gets the ball on the edge of the box and brings Wendel into the play, who scuffs a porr cross.
Placente twists and turns to beat two men. Gourcuff prods the ball to Fernando, who fires off a low shot that has Cech scrambling across his goal; but ultimately goes wide.
Bosingwa hoofs the ball forward and it is cut-out by Diawara.
Wendel probes the right flank for Bordeaux, who look like they are going to at least have a go this half.
Chamakh heads to prevent a throw in and tumbles over the advert hordings. He is a bit bruised but is fit to carry on the match.
Bordeaux get the second-half underway. They must play better than before the break.
But one goal and Bordeaux could get back into this... where that will come form I'm not exactly sure... maybe an own goal.
Scolari must think this Champions League lark is easy peasy. If all the opponents were as inept as this it would be.
Well the whistle blows for half-time and Laurent Blanc really has his work cut out to get his Bordeaux team going.
Wendel finds himself in an advanced position, looks around for a team-mate and then hacks an aimless cross into the box to nobody.
Carvalho is back on the pitch.
Plancente wins a cheap freekick and then Gourcuff wins a corner, which he will take...
Carvalho has a bloddy nose and has to go off the pitch to get it cleaned up.
J.Cole skips past two midfielders with his dancing feet but can't beat the third.
Maybe a toehold is too kind... more a toe nail irritably scratching the Blues defence.
It is almost like Chelsea have switched to cruise control and have allowed Bordeaux to get a toehold in the game.
Goufrann takes it but the corner is cut out at the near post. Needed a better delivery to trouble the Chelsea defence.
Gouffran wins a corner off Carvalho.
Gourcuff will take this freekick. His shot beats the wall but is too high to trouble Cech and goes over the bar.
Chamakh drives forward for Bordeaux and Carvalho brings him down about 20-yards from goal. Freekick.
Bosingwa delivers yet another cross from the right. Malouda knocks the ball down in the area and Lampard must score.... but he drags his shot wide of the far post. A shocking miss.
Liverpool have gone 2-1 up in Marseille, thanks to a penalty from Steven Gerrard.
Almost total domination from Chelsea in this match. It could become a cricket score.
Lampard delivers from the corner, J.Cole nips in at the near post and flicks a header over the keeper and into the far side of the net. GOAL!!!
Malouda wins a corner.
Gourcuff takes a quick freekick and like most of Bordeaux's play it goes backwards rather than towards the Chelsea goal.
Liverpool scored a quick equaliser in Marseille. 1-1.
Deco disects the Bordeaux defence with a great pass for Anelka; but the forward's cross goes behind all his advancing team-mates.
Their has been a goal in France where Marseille are leading Liverpool 1-0.
Full-back Bosingwa, who has hardly been in his own half, wins a corner for Chelsea. He has been immense already for the Blues.
I apologise to any Bordeaux fans watching as you team has had little mention but as soon as your team mount an attack I will report it.
Bosingwa's low cross is deflected goalwards by Fernando and Rame reacts quickly to prevent an own goal.
Lampard whips in a freekick from the right. Terry is unmarked on the edge of the six-yard box but heads wide.
Malouda flicks on from Terry's hoof up the pitch. Anelka latches onto the knockdown, cuts inside and forces a save from Rame with a thunderous, low strike.
Fernando lines up a shot but blasts the ball straight into the wall. A complete waste.
Bordeaux have a freekick within shooting range...
The game has already taken shape with both Chelsea full-backs pushing right up the pitch, acting as extra-midfielders... and that is where the goal came from.
1-0 to Chelsea, who take the lead with their first effort at goal.
Bosingwa breaks down the right flank, this time he delivers a measured cross and Lampard heads home at the far post. GOAL!!!
Deco once again attempts the lofted pass over the defence for J.Cole, who is getting closer to latching onto the through-ball.
Bosingwa nutmegs Placente but then gets a rush of blood to the head and chops his cross into the first defender.
Deco and J.Cole attempt a volley one-two. It looks great but comes to nothing.
Wendel breaks from midfield and shoots from 30-yards as the Chelsea defence backs off. His effort dips over the bar.
Chelsea are making the early running inside a subdued Stamford Bridge.
Malouda tests the left flank. He cuts inside the area but his pass is wayward and the move breaks down.
Bordeaux are yet to mount an attack. Bosingwa palys the ball down the flank but J.Cole can't reach the pass before it runs out of play.
Deco picks up a loose ball and lofts a pass over the last defender for Joe Cole to chase. The ball skips off the turf and into the hands of Bordeaux keeper Rame.
A scrappy start to the match. No more than four passes completed by either side.
Wendel looks to whip in a cross from the left. Carvalho sticks his head in the way and the ball goes out for a throw.
Lampard commits an early foul on the Bordeaux full-back Juriette.
Chelsea get the game underway, kicking from left to right, in their familiar all blue strip. Bordeaux wear white.
However, this is Scolari's first ever game in the UEFA Champions League and that could be a crum of comfort for the visitors.
Former Manchester United centre-back Laurent Blanc performed wonders as manager of Bordeaux to get them to the Champions League and he will have to perform another miracle to get a positive result tonight.
The teams are in the tunnel and the Stamford Bridge support raises a roar as they go out onto the pitch.
