And that should be it. The ref blows for full-time and Barca will take a lead into the home leg.
Another free header for Larsen! But the ball is over! Schalke have had their chances, but haven't managed to take any of them
Oh but are they? Valdes forced to make the save after Rafinha gets a ball in. Bordon is there with the header and Valdes saves the day by tipping the ball over the bar.
Barca just running the clock down now. They look safe.
Lovenkrands nearly gets onto the ball with his first touch. Valdes comes out well.
Iniesta slips a great ball to Dos Santos. He wins a corner. This second half performance really has not been good from the Spaniards, but at least they have a precious away goal.
It's scruffy, stop-start and that will suit Barca. Schalke have lost the momentum that they had and it's going to be tough from now on.
His first touch is a great cross, but Neuer did really well to block the cross. Henry was waiting.
Bojan comes off. The 17 year old has done really well and Sylvinho comes on.
Larsen now goes in late on Milito. That was forward's tackle if ever you've seen one. He goes in the book and the game is getting a little spiky.
Pander gets himself booked. Lazy tackle.
Dos Santos is on for Eto'o, so there's a real youthful feel to Barca's frontline. And Henry of course.
Pander swings a cross in after all that Bojan injury stuff. Westermann is there and gets his head on the ball. Abidal had his hands all over the German, but there's no foul given.
Dos Santos may be coming on as Bojan has an injury. The ref is going mad asking for the stretcher. He wants to get on with the game.
Poor ball from Bojan. But Barca get the throw in, despite the linesman benig all of two inches away.
Barca have let the Germans back into the game. It really is a game of two halves.
The ball comes back in from Westermann and Larsen has the chance! Oh he got that badly wrong. Five yards out and he heads the ball wide. The ball hit him, rather than him heading it. How they may rue these missed opportunities.
Schalke have just gone off the boil again. They looked really dangerous a while ago, but seem to have lost their fire. Sanchez fires in a cross but it's over the head of Larsen.
Pander hits it, but it isn't good enough to test Valdes.
Marquez's first contribution is to bring down Altintop. Yes he dived, but it was a poor tackle. Good chance now for Pander.
Asamoah is coming off, he hasn't played well. And the giant Larsen is on.
Altintop will hold his head if Schalke don't score now. He really should have made something out of that chance. Why didn't the Germans start the game like this???
That was a great chance there. Marquez looks ready to shore up the Barca defence, but Schalke are dangerous at the moment.
Oh what a miss! The best chance there for Schalke! Altintop is played onside and dinks the ball over Valdes. It spins off the turf and just slides past the post!
Schalke throwing men forward now. Larsen looks ready to come on and trouble the Barca defence. Pander does really well and gets to the byline. He drags it back, Ernst smashes it wide and Asamoah should have got something on it.
Rooney gets the second for United and they look comfortable now.
Sanchez goes down on the halfway line and Milito gets in the book.
Yaya Toure does so well to slide in and keep the ball. He wins the ball again and sends Bojan free. Ernst got back, but fatigue is becoming an issue for the Germans. How they could do with Jones in central midfield.
Ball flies up in the air and Neuer comes out feet first to get there in front of Bojan.
Great ball from Xavi. Eto'o makes a break down the right and produces a poor cross. He had targets to aim for, but failed to get anything from it.
It is better from the Germans. But they still have to keep Barca at bay. Iniesta now bursting forward and unleashing a shot. But well held by Neuer.
Kuranyi, the leading light for Schalke is subbed. Sanchez comes on in his place.
Schalke have Altintop dropping so deep that Kuranyi is left up on his own. Hang on, he's coming off!
No foul again on the edge of the box as Rafinha goes down under a challenge by Abidal. The crowd let the ref know their opinion.
Neuer has had precious little to do despite the possession Barca have had. Pander gets a great cross in as Milito heads away. At last, there's some action!
Eto'o shows his other side with a string of vitriol. His strike partner Henry is tackling back well.
Barca have yet to impress themselves on this half. Schalke may get some hope that they can get back into the game.
Now the crowd are turning up the volume. Rafinha fails to win a free-kick and there is some noise around the stadium.
The crowd baying for someone to follow it in. Where were the Schalke strikers?
Pander unleashes a rocket! What a hit! There was no closing down at all, and Valdes spilt the hot shot. No-one was following it in though. Great effort though.
Altintop hits a shot after coming inside Abidal. His effort hits Milito and deflects wide for a corner. Better stuff. Pander's delivery is also good from the corner, but Westermann's header was not.
Good one-two between Henry and Bojan and Bordon brings down Henry on the edge of the box. The Frenchman doesn't get a foul though, and refuses the German's hand up.
So far, not much has changed. Barca look like coming out in the same way and have decided to continue their game of 'keep ball'.
And we're off again. Schalke have a lot to do to improve on their first half performance.
Now the Germans are passing it round with more authority. Far too late though as the half is nearly over.
Schalke hoping for a penalty again. An aerial challenge on Kuranyi in the box. Zambrotta wasn't anywhere near the ball, but it would have been harsh.
Wonderful touches from Bojan and Toure. They really are playing well, but then again they're not under any pressure at all.
Altintop gets away from Puyol, but again Schalke don't make the most of the situation and Barca are able to clear. Poor touch from Asamoah there and the Spanish side are commanding in bringing the ball out.
A Man Utd v Barca semi-final looks on the cards now. Although it may be a tad soon to start making predictions.
A flick across the box gets Schalke another attempt at goal, but they've really struggled to mount any kind of attack. The Schalke fans are trying to raise the team, good luck to them.
Ronaldo has given United the lead in Rome. And my goodness how this game could use another goal.
Schalke look tired already, but then they've been chasing shadows for most of the half.
Barcelona have re-established their dominance again over the last five minutes. Passing and movement, they are just streets ahead of their opponents.
Asamoah does very well to get round Abidal and there's a shout for penalty, which is pretty hopeful. Good decision by the ref, but that's the first spark from the Ghanaian so far.
Again, the final ball from Schalke has just not been up to scratch. Rafinha the culprit once more. Terrible cross after some decent approach play.
Eto'o finds some space on the far right and sends a teasing cross in. Bojan was waiting and Bordon just got the ball behind for a corner.
Westermann, who has been by far and away been the best player, has a go. But well saved.
Or not. Pander delivers a shocking cross that is easily cleared by the first man.
Henry, back defending, touches Rafinha and he goes down. Maybe a set piece is the best chance for Schalke to get back into the game.
The game is in danger of becoming a dead rubber. Barca won't really want more than an away goal and a clean sheet, and they're set up to defend now. There's just no spark from Schalke.
Barca really do look so comfortable. Schalke's fans give a huge sigh of annoyance as they lose the ball again.
Somehow Kuranyi got his head on the ball, but it fell harmlessly into the hands of Valdes. Bojan is now the one causing Rafinha some problems. The Brazilian is meant to be attracting attention from Liverpool, but not on this evidence.
Pander lines up the shot, but the wall does its job.
Bojan picks up a loose ball on the edge of the area and skips past a few tackles. His final ball is poor though and Schalke break. Westermann is charging up the pitch and Eto'o brings him down, this is a good chance.
Pander stands over a free-kick. Swings it in with his left foot and Westermann really should have got more on it than just a heel.
Rafinha tries to push something down the right, but the ball is overhit and that just about sums it up for Schalke in this first period.
Schalke really need to get some momentum. Barca are pressing the Germans whenever they get possession and there's nothing they can do!
Schalke get their first shot on goal. Kuranyi made his mind up about a week ago that was going to shoot there. 30 yards out, never troubled Valdes.
Rafinha is just looking out his depth here against the pace of Henry. The former Gunner gets free again down the left, there's a real swagger about the way the Spaniards are passing the ball around.
Henry will be annoyed at himself for not getting on the scoresheet, but the Frenchman gets an assist, and you'd back him to take a chance like that next time!
Schalke still struggling to get anywhere near the ball. Westermann is trying to get the tempo up, but there's really nothing coming from the Germans at the moment.
After all that possession it's the least Barca deserve.
Rafinha made an error there as Iniesta fed Henry in. Neuer made the save, but spilt the ball and Henry was able to square it. Bojan netted from about 2 yards out, but he was onside. 1-0 Barca.
GOAL! It was coming. Bojan got on the end of it after Henry burst through.
Barca really are playing the ball about well. They've eaten up the possession so far and each ball is zipping around.
Adibal clips the ball in, but it goes over Henry's head. Barca have had so much of the early possession and Neuer may have to show his class in the Schalke goal.
First effort there from Barca, and it just shows how much class the Spanish have in their side.
Oh great pass there. Xavi finds Iniesta with a defence splitting pass but Neuer was there to block it. Bojan nearly got onto the rebound but the defender Rafinha just got there first. Good chance.
Toure has done well so far in that defensive midfield spot. Schalke are yet to test the Barca defence.
Eto'o turns well and holds his hands out waiting for a pass. Iniesta gives the ball away though and Altintop is dispossessed by Milito.
Both sides just knocking it around, neither side seems really interested in making any surges forward at the moment.
The pitch looks in good shape, although a little like a golf fairway without the divots having been replaced. Fans are in good voice as well.
Pander now surges forward down the left hand side. He's looked sharp already so far. Xavi is hauled down in the centre circle.
Now the home side are beginning to pass the ball around a bit moer. Rafinha bursts down the right and puts a good delivery in.
Kuranyi closes down Milito but the ball doesn't run kindly and the big German striker fights to get it back again.
Finally, after a minute, Westermann gets his foot on the ball. But Barca get it back again.
Rijakaard's job is on the line apparently. Only if they lose though. So far Schalke haven't touched the ball.
Kick off, here we go.
The Schalke fans are making a lot of noise and the roof is closed, making it even louder. Barca could be in for a tough night ahead.
Schalke will rely on Kuranyi and Altintop up front. Rafinha will look to impress at right-back, but the Germans have a tough test ahead of them.
Lineups are in, and Barca have Eto'o and Henry up front. No Ronaldinho, as he's injured, and Bojan is in his place.
Join us at 1945 BST to see if German side Schalke can upset one of the favourites, Barcelona.
