France play Italy next and both teams need to win to go through. One of them will be going out.
Holland have now scored seven goals against the two 2006 World Cup finalists and have booked their place in the quarter-finals.
The final whistle blows! What a way to end the match.
Van Persie has not given up hope of another Dutch goal. The striker passes to Sneijder, who turns on the edge of the box and loops a shot past Coupet and into the top corner of the net. GOAL!!!
France have a corner. Ribery's delivery is very poor and his cross drifts over everybody in the penalty box.
Robben drives at the French defence. He has two players with him in support but Thuram keeps backing of so Robben shoots. His effort beats coupet but goes wide of the post.
RVN catches Sagnol, who goes down in a heap and rolls around on the floor. The foul was not that bad.
Ribery stands over a freekick in the centre of the goal. The French playmaker whips in a shot put Van Der Sar can just watch as it goes over the bar.
...the defender won the ball and the ref waves away the penalty claims of the French.
Anleka drives into the box. Mathijsen makes a desperate lunge and Anelka takes a tumble in the penalty area...
Holland are hitting the Frenhc on the break as they push forward. Van Bronkhorst plays a long pass for Van Persie but Coupet rushes out of his area to clear the danger.
Bouma looks up and spots the run of RVN. His lofted pass drops to RVN who attempts to head it over Coupet. The keeper rushes back to claw the ball off the line.
Toulalan gets booked for something he said to the referee.
Ribery is away down the right. His cut-back is cut out and then Gomis falls over as he shoots. Desperation from the French now.
If the Dutch win this game, and it looks like they will, they will go through to the quarter-finals.
Even Boulahrouz is getting in on the action now as he beats ribery to start another Dutch attack.
that will mean yet another change of formation for Holland... but they have all worked for them so far.
Holland make a change. Van der Vaart goes off and Bouma, a defender, comes on to replace him.
...Ribery lofts it into the box. Henry has the chance of a free header but puts his effort over the bar. He should have done better there.
...Ribery is set to take it....
Anelka gets his first touch and is fouled. France have a freekick on the edge of the area...
France are forced to make another change. Govou goes of and on comes anelka. France have three strikers on the pitch now.
That was an amazing goal. How did Robben score from there?
Van der Vaart spots the run of Robben and plays a long pass up to the forward. Robben has no support so he tkaes on Thuram and smashes a shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle. GOAL!!!
France are back in it now!
Sagnol gallops down the right flank as Henry races forward in support. Sagnol crosses and Henry gets in front of his defnder to guide the ball home. GOAL!!!
Holland have a freekick. Sneijder curls it to the back post and Coupet leaps to claim his cross.
It looks like France are playing three at the back now as they push forward in search of a goal.
Gomis has come on for Malouda but the striker's first touch, in general, is dire.
Thuram makes a mistake in defence and Robben gets the ball high up the pitch. The forward races towards goal and cuts the ball back into the box but none of his team-mates were quick enough to get up in support.
Henry slips a pass between to Dutch defenders but there is a third one waiting to clear any danger.
I feel sorry for Ribery. He is running himself into the ground but France just can't get things to go their way.
Robben drives at Evra, cuts inside and attempts to curl a shot past Coupet. The keeper does make the save this time.
France are really in the mire now. Les Bleus were enjoying their best spell of the match before getting hit on the counter-attack.
The two Dutch subs combine brilliantly for the goal. Coupet was unlucky, he got a hand to the ball but the shot had such power he had no chance.
Holland break quickly. Robben races down the left and crosses for Van Persie, who smashes the ball at Coupet form pointblank range and the keeper can't stop the shot and it trickles over the line. GOAL!!!
Malouda looks like a different play this half. He is running hard and causing problems for the Dutch.
Ribery is under pressure from three players so switches play to the right flank. Sagnol looks up and attenmpts to lob Van der Sar from distance. He fails to do so.
Holland make another change. Kuyt goes off and is replaced by Van Persie. They must be changing formation to a 4-3-3.
It is all France at the moment.
Malouda flicks the ball over the Dutch defence and Henry bears down on Van Der Sar. The striker attempts to lob the keeper and his effort lands on the top of the net.
Van Bronckhorst tries to steal forward by so many yards from a throw that the ref awards it to France.
Now that Engelaar is missing the Dutch are finding it difficult to win back the ball.
In a seperate incident, Ooijer gets a yellow card for a foul on Henry.
...the referee waves away the claims. The ball did hit Ooijer's hand but there was no intent at all.
France pepper the Dutch goal with shots but each one is charged down. Henry has a great chance but Ooijet throws himself in front of his shot. Henry claims for a handball by the defender and a penalty....
Van Bronckhorst catches Makelele, who complains bitterly to the ref.
Henry skips past Ooijer and crosses. Ribery closes on the pass but Van Bronckhurst just gets his toe to the ball first. That was the Henry of old.
Holland make a change and Robben comes on to replace Engelaar for the second half. Looks like the Dutch will go 4-4-2.
Ribery has tried hard but he cannot do it all on his own, Malouda has been poor and Henry needs to get into the game more.
The first half comes to a close and the French are in a tough position. If the game was to end now both Italy and France would be below Holland and Romania in Group C.
The French a trying to breakthrough but they are just lacking that creative spark... I wonder if Zidane fancies coming out of retirement.
France's early tactic of attacking Boulahrouz has come to nought and the fullback now has Malouda in his back pocket.
Engelaar battles well for the ball in midfield and is doing a great job of that, but when he has to do something with the ball he is finding it tough.
Makelele fires the ball inot Henry at the edge off the box. The striker backs into Ooijer, spins and fires a shot just over the bar from the edge of the box.
Evra brings the ball out from the back and is fouled by RVN.
Ribery brings Sagnol into France's attack. The defender's cross is too long for Henry at the far post.
A little bit of energy has gone from the game as we near half-time.
More patient build up from the Dutch.
Govou shrugs off the attentions of two players and makes a reverse pass inot Ribery. The forward squares the ball across the face of goal and Henry just can't get to the near post quick enough.
Van der Sar has made three saves in succession now but all France's shots have been straight at, or very close to, the Dutch keeper.
Ribery drives at Dutch defence. Makelele is bursting forward and Ribery uses his run as a decy, cuts inside a forces a good save from Van der Sar. France coming back into it now.
Frnace take the freekick. Malouda gets possession in midfield, nobody closes him down so he hits a speculative shot that Van der Sar saves.
Makelele gets booked for swinging an arm at Van der Vaart but bizzarely the whistle had already gone for a foul the other way.
Ribery and Govou combine on the right. Malouda crosses and Gouvo's shot is blocked.
Makelele wins possession deep in his own half and attempts to slide a long pass up the pitch to Henry. That approach is just not working, they need to build the play through midfield.
The Dutch just seem to have so much time on the ball. The French are not put pressure on the man in possession until they reach the back-four.
Toulalan has resorted to pumping long passes up to Govou... which isn't working.
Kuyt picks the ball up in midfield and plays a through-pass to Boulahrouz. The defender hits a low cross from the right but there is no Dutch player in the box.
The fans are in great voice tonight, or at least the Dutch support is.
Govou and Henry combine to scythe through the Dutch midfield but the Oranje centrebacks hold firm and win back the ball.
Sagnol crosses from the right. Govou pokes the ball away from Mathijsen then fires a shot from a tight angle that Van der Sar saves.
Makelele gives the ball away. RVN twists and turns away from two defenders and then gets overconfident as he is thwarted by a third.
The French subs are warming up already.
France can't get a touch at the moment. Kuyt races onto a long pass and scoops a shot over the bar as he stretches to reach the ball.
The Dutch keep possession.
Some slick play through midfield finds RVN on the edge of the box. The striker plays in Van der Vaart, whose shot is blocked.
France build down the left but the Malouda decides to pass the ball straight back to the Dutch. Ribery fouls Van Nistelooy (RVN from now on) out of frustration.
De Jong wins a 50-50 tackle with Toulalan and the ball squirms to Sneijder, who shoots high and wide.
Ribery goes on a mazy run all on his own. He beats two men but Ooijer steps across to block his run and win the ball.
The Dutch are happy to keep the ball at the back for a minute.
Ribery switches the play to the right to Govou. The Winger cuts inside and play a through-ball to Henry but his pass is too heavy. France are back on the attack though.
Well the pressure is really on France now after a draw in their opening match with Romania. They really need to win here and have mountain to climb.
Van Bronkhorst delivers to the near post and Kuyt out-muscles Malouda to head home. GOAL!!!
Van Bronckhorst clips a long-pass to Kuyt, who controls the ball on his chest and wins a corner.
France are on top early on, concentrating their efforts down the left flank. They must not rate the fullback Boulahrouz.
France are getting the ball to Ribery as much as possible. He has already posed a few problems to the Dutch.
Malouda combines with Henry on the left. The winger's cross picks out Ribery at the back post but the striker heads wide.
Makelele takes out Kuyt and that must be a yellow card... the ref decides a talking to will suffice.
Van Der Vart slips a pass to Van Nistelrooy, who turns his defender and hits a soft shot from the edge of the area. He should have really passed it to Kuyt.
De Jong commits the first foul of the game. It was a physical welcome for Ribery.
France, wearing blue and white, kick-off - playing from right to left. Holland are in their familiar orange strip.
Holland battered Italy in their last outing and it will be interesting to see if they can do the same against a much changed France team.
The teams are lined up and the national anthems are playing... Why do the French have to have such a good one?
