Referee: A Wiley
FULL-TIME: Spurs fifth win a row pushes them up to sixth and sets them up nicely for their difficult trip to Seville during the week. An entertaining match and one which Spurs deserved to win. Reading dropped out of it in the second half and were it not for Defoe's profligacy the Royals would have lost by more goals.
Zokora tries to keep the ball in the corner and wins a throw deep in Reading's half which should mean Spurs take the points.
Lennon scampers towards the Reading goal and gets a corner from Halford's block.
Three minutes of added time are signalled.
Reading push up as the referee checks his watch. Doyle takes on Zokora but it's Spurs who get a goal-kick which Robinson will be in no hurry to take.
With Reading pressing, Lee takes advantage and charges up the park. He tees up Jermaine Defoe who is twelve yards from goal. His shot is terrible though and as it sails wide is greeted with howls of derision from the Spurs fans.
A nicely placed shot from Huddlestone beats Federici but trickles just wide of his goal.
Halford's cross is well met by the head of Chimbonda who has impressed for Spurs today.

This time Defoe has a goal disallowed for offside although his is not as clear cut a decision as Berbatov's and in fact Defoe looked to be marginally onside.

HALF-TIME: Some fine football on display so it is perhaps a shame that a debatable penalty is what has given Spurs the lead. A host of chances at either end suggest that it won't be the only goal of the game though.
Berbatov bends it over the wall but Hahnemann reads the flight of the ball well and gets across to make the save.
