Spartak Moscow fans respond to BBC Russian hooligan film with banner

Spartak Moscow fans unfurled a banner in response to the BBC's documentary, Russia's Hooligan Army, in which England fans were warned they are "100 percent guaranteed" to be targeted at the 2018 World Cup.

The banner, which was displayed during Spartak's 1-1 draw at Lokomotiv Moscow on Saturday, branded the BBC the "Blah Blah Channel."

A hooligan, known as Denis and the leader of the "Orel Butchers" group that was at the centre of the Marseille violence, said in the documentary which aired in February: "They can come over [for the 2018 World Cup] and we'll see.

"Somebody will obviously try to do something, that is like 100 percent -- 100 percent guaranteed.

"Have a family and children around you or something ... if you are there with your male friend you should calculate on getting your a--- kicked."

There were scenes of violence at Euro 2016 as supporters of the two countries clashed, with two England fans left in a critical condition after three days of violence in Marseille while a group of Russian fans charged at England supporters inside the Stade Velodrome.

Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said 150 specially-trained Russian hooligans were behind much of the violence that broke out in the city.

Information from the Press Association was used in this report.
