Premier Showdown - Oct 16-18

October 18, 2010

A great victory for Dale Johnson puts him back level with Tommy Smyth at the top of the table. We're back from the international break and once again the Rest of the World team have work to do.

Joining us for this round of Showdown is Ly Chanh who is from Ho Chi Minh City which is in Vietnam.

Ly tells us: "Here the Premier League is bigger than anything else in football world. I just celebrated my 40th birthday a couple of months ago and want to have a belated birthday gift from you guys: to compete with Dale and Tommy!

"Currently, I'm working for two magazines: Saigon City Life and Golf Today Vietnam as Managing Editor. Before, I was a football commentator for HCMC Television for eight years. Though working for two magazines which are not related to football, my love for the sport is the same."

Now this sounds like a challenge!

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.
