Premier Showdown - Dec 8/9

December 9, 2007

Yet another victory for the Rest of the World last weekend means their return to form continues. The ROTW are now 12 points behind Dale Johnson at the top of the table and on current form it won't be long before the current champions are back in charge!

Where will PS cast its wide and varied net this weekend? Well, we're taking a break from the cold and breezey weather here in London to head for the sunnier climbs of Antigua! Welcome, Aldoray Gordon!

He tells us: 'Hi, my name is Aldoray and I'm from St. Johns in Antigua and I am an Administrative Assistant. My favourite team is liverpool.

'I am a football fanatic much to the annoyance of almost everyone I know. Thanks for the time and I hope I get some picks right!'

Bring it on!

Each week one of our readers, or an ESPNSoccernet Press Pass viewer, has the chance to challenge our two experts.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
