A correct score for the Rest of the World in the Swansea v Aston Villa game proved to be the difference last weekend, as they extended their lead at the top of the table back to six points.

Tommy Smyth continues to put in strong performances and we can see him picking up a few more wins before the end of the year.

Every season we invite Tommy's nephew, Padraig Smyth "from the wee county of Louth, Ireland", into the Showdown suite to represent the ROTW and have a go at taking the family bragging rights. In two previous attempts, Dale Johnson has won both with Padraig second and poor old Tommy in third. Will things be different this time?

Padraig says: "Padraig here for my yearly go on this game. Aston Villa Supporter all my life. we are not going well at the moment but hopefully things will change.

"I am here to take points off the champion, Tommy, and get the Rest of the World further into the lead. Cheers, lads."

For each round of matches we invite someone to represent the Rest of the World and take on Press Pass' Tommy Smyth and ESPNsoccernet journalist Dale Johnson in our predictions game.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the Showdown result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the Rest of the World tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared.
