After making his Poland debut in a World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic back in 2008, Jodlowiec has had to wait a long time for his next competitive international as Poland’s lack of qualifying game in recent months have meant he has been forced to cut his national team teeth in friendly games.
He will get a taste of life at the business end of the international game this summer and this centre-back who can also fill in as a holding midfielder is likely to emerge as one of the mainstays of Franciszek Smuda’s Polish line-up.
Jodlowiec scored his first goal in a Poland shirt against France last June, but unfortunately, his strike went in at the wrong end and proved to be a winning goal for Les Bleus. This former Dyskobolia Wielkopolski star will not want to repeat that trick at Euro 2012.
He once turned down a move to Italian club Napoli for family reasons, but may be on his way to Israeli side Maccabi Haifa this summer.
