Cesc Fabregas has compared Spain's upcoming Euro 2012 semi-final with Portugal to the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Spain have made serene progress to the last four, as they continue the defence of their crown, but will face a stern test against a Cristiano Ronaldo-inspired Portugal.
Fabregas has described Portugal as being "lethal" on the counter attack and with Barca and Real stars playing for both teams, it will have a Clasico feel.
"Portugal is one of the strongest teams," Fabregas said. "They defend well and are lethal on the counter. They’re similar to Real Madrid and we must be at the top of our game.
“You can liken and compare it to Real Madrid–Barcelona in terms of the respective styles of the teams.
“But there are different players and we also have players from many teams so it’ll not be the same.”
