England are primed to go on the offensive against Sweden on Friday, according to striker Danny Welbeck.
The Three Lions opened up their Euro 2012 campaign with a 1-1 draw against France. It was a game in which England carved out few chances, as they put men behind the ball and stifled their opponents.
Having got a point against the group favourite, the onus is on England to attack against Sweden and then Ukraine and Welbeck feels manager Roy Hodgson will set up the side to do that.
“You’ll see a much more determined England side,” Welbeck said. “We’d have liked a win to start with but we want to get forward and get more goals.
“We have to get more bodies into our attacking third and create more opportunities. When they arrive, the strikers will be ready to put them in.
“France was a start for us and we set a platform. We really want to build on that and I think we can improve a lot more.
“We’ve got to go out there and get the three points.”
