All managers heading into Euro 2012 like to have their players hitting peak form ahead of the tournament and that has been the story for Obraniak this season.
Bordeaux snapped up this former Metz star during the last January transfer window after an impressive stint with Lille, where he scored plenty of goals and confirmed his worth in their line-up. It was no surprise when a rival club made their move for him and he wasted little time in making his mark by scoring a winning goal against the team he had left a few weeks ago in only his third game for Bordeaux.
Obraniak played for the France Under-21 side, but he was allowed to switch his allegiances to Poland as his grandfather hails from Pobiedziska. That’s certainly good news for national team boss Franciszek Smuda, who needs all the players he can find ahead of Euro 2012.
