Kvist provides experience to this Danish line-up and he heads into Euro 2012 on the back of a successful first season in the German Bundesliga, as he established himself as a regular in the Stuttgart side.
Boasting powerful shooting skills and no little invention on the ball, Kvist shot to prominence with FC Copenhagen and his ability to hurl the ball into the box from throw-ins made him a useful weapon. A respected handball player in his youth, he converted that talent to the football pitch to great effect and it may be a trick Danish boss Morten Olsen will look to use if his side need to chase a game in this summer’s European Championships.
Converted from a full-back role he didn’t enjoy playing for club and country, he is now a central midfielder boasting good distribution and a work ethic that pleases both his team-mates and supporters. Kvist played in six of Denmark’s Euro 2012 qualifiers.
