With so many gifted attacking players in his ranks, Croatia boss Slaven Bilic may need to employ a more defensive minded player like Vukojevic to give his side a solid base at Euro 2012.
A senior international since he earned his first cap against Slovakia in October 2007, he was a part of the Croatian squad at the Euro 2008 finals and after playing in eight qualifiers on the road to Euro 2012, the battler nick-named ‘the Croatian Gattuso’ has been playing his club football in Kiev since 2008 and he seems continent with his lot in the Ukraine.
“There have been some interest from other clubs in Italy and England, but there is no decision for me to make until my club tell me about it,” says Vukojevic. “Playing in Kiev has been good for my career and there is no rush for me to move to a different country. My focus now is on Euro 2012, not what might happen with my future.”
