A regular in the Lech Poznan side for the last six years, Wojtkowiak ended his long association with the Polish club when he agreed to move to the German capital to join 1860.
With his club future resolved, this right-back can focus his attention on making a name for himself in front of the Polish supporters at Euro 2012 and he should see plenty of tournament action this summer.
He made his Poland debut in September 2008. “No one outside of Poland believes we can be a factor in Euro 2012, but that lack of expectation does not exist in our camp,” says Wojtkowiak. “We have great faith in what is possible.”
