This talented midfielder has bounced back from the disappointment of not making it at Premier League side Arsenal by proving his worth in the English top flight with both Birmingham City and Sunderland.
His range of passing and ability to strike the most perfect of free-kicks makes him one of the shining stars of the emerging clutch of Swedish players and, after playing in all ten of the Euro 2012 qualifiers, scoring three times, Larsson looks certain to be handed a central role in Erik Hamren’s side this summer.
“We have been put into a group that gives us all some hope in Sweden that we can achieve something at Euro 2012,” the confident Larsson says. “My form with Sunderland this season has been pleasing and hopefully I can be seen as an important player for Sweden as well. This team expects to do well this summer. Who know how far we can go.”
