In his third spell as a Viktoria Plzen player, Limbersky has Champions League experience to his credit in recent years and his ability to play in both a left sided midfield role as well as in defence makes him a valuable asset for this Czech Republic side.
He was aiming high when he started his career, as Limbersky was eager to follow in the footsteps of Czech legend Pavel Nedved. “I tried to be like him when I was growing up as he was the perfect player in my eyes,” he confirms. “Nedved had everything in the game and the idea I had was to try and create and score goals like he did. This is the way you can get noticed.”
Limbersky had a spell on loan at Premier League side Tottenham back in 2005, but he was never given a chance to shine in their first team.
