Lafata made his full international debut back in 2006, yet goals have been few and far between since then, with his double strike against Wales in a Euro 2008 qualifier something of a fading memory now as he prepares for a summer of tournament action.
Despite his lack of success in a Czech Republic shirt, his claims for some game time at Euro 2012 are strong as he has been in prolific form in Jablonec this season, leading the scoring stakes in the Czech league and looking highly impressive in a team that have hardly set the world alight in recent months.
