Kerzhakov scored the crucial winning goal in a tight away win against Macedonia in Euro 2012 qualifying and he can expect to see plenty of tournament action this summer.
A UEFA Cup winner with Sevilla in 2007, he has been in sparkling form since returning to Zenit in 2010 and Russia boss Dick Advocaat knows he will be calling on a confident performer if he picks Kerzhakov at Euro 2012. “Belief is something every striker needs and I have so much of that at this moment,” claims the striker. “I feels like I will score in every game and this is a great feeling.”
He has been a full international for the last decade and this former Dynamo Moscow star was part of the Russian squads for the Euro 2004 and 2006 World Cup finals. However, he missed out on selection for Euro 2008 and will be keen to make up for that disappointment in the next few weeks.
