Few Poland players are heading into Euro 2012 with the sort of confidence right-back Piszczek must have after his impressive season in the German Bundesliga with Dortmund.
It’s little wonder the likes of Inter Milan are being linked with a summer move for this former Hertha Berlin star, who looked the part in his side’s title win this season. Oozing with pace and energy, he has been compared by some to Tottenham’s dynamic winger Gareth Bale, though Piszczek likes to operate on the opposite side of the field to the Welsh sensation.
His first international cap came against Estonia in February 2007 and after playing in the Champions League this season, he will look to enhance his growing reputation once more with some star showings on home soil. “This has already been a great season for me and hopefully it is about to get better at Euro 2012,” says Piszczek.
