France manager Laurent Blanc has said that a decision on his future will be made by Saturday night, after meeting with the French Federation on Thursday.
Blanc has been linked with the vacant manager’s position at Tottenham Hotspur since the departure of Harry Redknapp, but is holding talks over possibly extending his contract which will expire on Saturday night.
The former Bordeaux manager led France to the quarter-final stage of Euro 2012, before Les Bleus exited at the hands of Spain.
Blanc said: “Our meeting did not last all day because I had other commitments. But everyone said what they had to say, including about the Euros. We have many things in common but it is also a personal decision concerning me. We gave ourselves a deadline of 48 hours.”
France captain Hugo Lloris hopes for Blanc to stay on as Les Bleus boss: “We are in favour of continuity.”© ESPN
