Italy have fitness concerns over Daniele De Rossi and Ignazio Abate ahead of their Euro 2012 semi-final meeting with Germany on Thursday.
Italy booked their place in the last four of the tournament via a penalty shoot-out win over England on Sunday night, after the match finished 0-0 following extra-time.
The progress came at a cost, though, after midfielder De Rossi was forced off in the 80th minute, with Antonio Nocerino brought on as his replacement.
Speaking after the game, De Rossi said: "My sciatic nerve is causing me some discomfort. After Diamanti’s penalty, I couldn't even get up and embrace him."
Abate, meanwhile, suffered a muscle injury and was subsequently replaced by Christian Maggio, who was booked during his time on the field and will therefore be suspended for the semi-final.© ESPN
